In another surprising move in NCAA we are seeing marquee schools move to bigger and more lucrative conference .

This move is even more surprising given the geographical challenges but the rags to riches is driving the move .

Pac-12 payout last year was 19.8 million per school while Big 10 was 46.1 million. The move is scheduled for 2024 after the current PAC 12 TV deal with Fox and ESPN expire.

The speculation will begin much like it did for Big 12 which this announcement comes almost a year to date from Texas and OU announcement .

Will they look to add more schools or merge with another conference .

As we move to more Super conferences this might be the time for an alliance with Big 12 or ACC since merging conferences from Pacific to Atlantic Ocean over 3 time zones no longer a concern.

Yeah, this is a huge loss for the Pac-12.

The disparity in payouts was just too much.

College football is all about money, they need to stop pretending. Looks like it will be just a few super conferences in the coming years.

Nobody is pretending. The change in the image and likeness rules began this whole chain of events. Schools need more money to lure the high priced players. Amateurism is dead.
