Not even close to the same player.

Duece might be a great in SF if he is not touched for the first 3.5 yards.

We need Marion Barber, who can brake tackles when he gets first touched 1 yard behind the line of scrimmage.
Seems to me you have a thing for the 9ers.

Why do so many fans think the RB is the problem?

Have you watched a Niner game???

The Niners punter could run for 3.5 yards a carry.
100 believe they need a new OL coach. I'm no fan of the blocking scheme and was not trying to suggest the RB is the only issue. I was only specifically talking about Vaughn. I think Rico is fine at RB with better blocking, better scheme etc. That is why I said even trying to get Vaughn going in space will require better blocking. In SF everyone blocks well or they don't get on the field, they take it seriously. Not here, our receivers and TE's barely get in a defenders way.

Deuce is not Sproles. Deuce is not even close to Sproles. Deuce is not IMO an NFL RB. PS sounds about right to me

Deuce isn’t close to Sproles in talent.

Nepotistic pick if there ever was one.
He may not be Sproles, and there may have been some nepotism involved, but the guy had a huge college career in a major conference, so it would be wrong to suggest there wasn't legitimate reason to give him a shot, especially in the 6th round.

Will someone on this coaching staff PLEASE watch tape of Sproles. Then, implement some plays designed for Duece. He has all the same skill sets. Here’s a thought… maybe think outside the box and have Luepke and Duece in the backfield… give it to either, screen to either.. we need creative mis matches. Another jet sweep or curl route and my head will explode.
They actually could cut Zeke and let Duece play.

I said he has the same skil set. Small. Shifty, good pass catcher. Try and keep up.
But he doesn't. He has similar traits, and similar size, but the "same skill set" would mean he has the same level of proficiency, and there is no reason to believe that at this point.

And in the 2 years he has been in the league, he has done nothing with his opportunities. He falls down as soon as he is touched. I don't care what he did in college, we aren't talking about playing in college. He has not shown anything at the pro level to warrant his spot on this or any other roster. Lots and Lots of college players look great in college, dominant even but fail in the big boy league.
Deuce gets 1 carry and he doesn’t house it so he’s a no talent bum lol.

You guys are ridiculous.

The run game would be vastly improved with him taking Carrie’s over Elliot.

Care to make a gentleman's bet should that happen?

Sproles played 15 years in the NFL, was highly productive for 3 different teams and was a 3x pro-bower. Where do you come up with the same skillset for Deuce? Neither he nor you can keep up. Deuce will be out the league next year.

Not sure if they don’t know what to do with him or he is just too slow. Sproles was explosive. I haven’t seen anything close to explosive from Deuce.

Every college player doesn't translate to the NFL and we do keep some too long......If you ain't doing something by 3rd year, meaning standing out on film (not about Deuce yet), nor do you stand out on special teams.......you need to be gone.

Again, in SF he would be a legit RB.
