I think we will roate between Felix and MB3 on drives like we did with JJ last year. Then i think Choice will be used on 3rd downs.

any one else think it will go like this ?

I honestly don't see Choice getting on the field a whole lot in the offensive sets. I would think they would probably use MB3 on third down situations. Baring injuries Choice will probably see most of his time this year on special teams.

Agreed, but I think he has more talent than Tyson Thompson, so 3 or so carries a game for him would not surprise me.

I don't know if i am true sure about that. Even though Choice wasn't a 1st round pick he still has a vaible shot of putting a lot pressure on our othe 2 RB's and i think he will be really good for us.

I think Barber will be the conventional RB with Choice spelling him for a series or two every half. Jones will basically have his own position as a hybrid RB/WR/KR. Similiar to the way NO uses Bush. I would not be suprised at all to see Jones with as many touches as Barber by the end of the year. I think we will see alot of Jones with Barber or Choice in the same formations. IMO.

I hope we don't try to use Jones the way NO uses Bush. Jones isn't on the same level as reggie and i don't' see him being able to have 70+ catches in one season.

I believe Garrett will try to keep Barber fresh for the late going. If Barber is the nominal starter, I think he is likely to be rested quite a bit on the sidelines while Choice does the heavy lifting and Jones provides the excitement.

But there might be times when Barber and Choice are on the field at the same time, letting Jones sit.

Then, in the fourth quarter when the game is on the line, Barber will be used as he was last year to punish the flagging defense and push over scores.

I think all three backs may be used extensively in a co-ordinated fashion, all counted on to do their co-ordinated part. Instead of a two back scheme, it may be a three back scheme, keeping them fresh throughout the game.

A different definition of triplets.

I'd imagine and hope Felix Jones is more Jerious Norwood than Reggie Bush. Bush isn't effective as a runner. 3.7 yards per carry as a part time guy is terrible. Not really many big plays either, as 22 yards is his longest career run.

I hope we get a heavy dosage of choice

how long was the screen pass he scored against us ? what about the TD's against the bears ? or the punt return from against the Bucs ?

Choice is much better than TT.TT would have active if he was any good at ST.
I think choice will play on the coverage teams. We should start with MBIII and felix in the 1st quarter and let choice spell MBIII for 2 or 3 series in the 2nd and 3rd quarter-this will keep MBIII fresh for the final quarter.

Anybody that compares Choice to TT has limited knowledge on this kid. He is a player and will be pushing on the top two players. I am very high on this kid and he is the sole reason that the draft wasn't a total failure IMO and if scrandrick can continue to impress that would be another reason.

I posted this several days ago but do not be surprised if Choice sees more time early then does Jones.

Jones is coming from a very unconventional offense and will have to learn ours. Choice played in a Pro Style offense already and is probably better suited to learn our offense because of this. Both backs will have to be able to pick up the Blitz and know there assignments so it will take time IMO. However, it would not surprise me to see Choice getting more time early.

I agree... Choice is a great pick for us...

I always enjoyed watching GT games. Had it not been for a knee injury I think he would have been among the top backs taken...

Im all over MB being the primary ball carrier with FJ mixed in for around 6 carries and 3-4 catches a game. I'd like to see Choice get his touches in the 4th qtr when the Boys are trying to run out the clock being up 3 touchdowns.

He didn't say he wanted Jones to be a Reggie Bush, but to be used in the same role Bush is in. Just because Bush isn't doing good running in that role doesn't mean Felix will be the same way.

How many teams seriously use a 3 RB Rotation game in and game out? Not many, even some of the best rushing teams don't, and we aren't a running team. Choice will be lucky to see more than 2-3 carries a game, if he's active at all, unless someone gets injured.

Yea, I agree. Except, I hope he gets a lot of action in blowout games.

Well if that is the case then the back on the outisde looking in will be Jones when everything is said and done.

...you honestly think Jerry Jones will allow Felix Jones to be inactive? Good luck with that one.

A lot depends on the offense. For example, if you run a Pro Set, the chances are pretty good that you can use two backs and a 3rd down back but I really doubt we do a great deal of this.
