Let’s say you had Dallas Cowboys total points tally (1374.4 points) according to the trade value chart. If you could swap out picks at the TVC rate what picks would you take in the 2022 NFL draft?

If it were me:
  • Picks 31 & 32 = 1190 points
  • 4 x late 4th round picks = 184.4 points
I’m then taking two of OG, OC, and WR in round 1 and a TE plus LB in the 4th. What would you do?

I think I know what you're saying. Basically trade back. Better to have two early seconds or close to it. In this draft I think that's the better option. And I normally hate trading back.

I think this draft has tiers.
  • 1-6 top tier
  • 6-45 2nd tier
  • 45-145 3rd tier
I don’t think there is much difference between players within a tier but a fairly sizable drop off between them. I also think it’s the weakest top 5 I can remember.

I agree 100%

I would be all for trading our first and a third to move back to the last pick or two of the 1st and a second. I actually think it is an excellent choice given how deep that interior line is this year (coincidentally our biggest need).

I do too. I don't believe the drop off is significant enough from our position in the first. The problem is other teams see that too. We'd have to find a team that is specifically targeting someone where we are in the first. Because a 1st and 3rd for two early 2nds is heavily weighed in our favor on the draft chart.

For example. Our 1st and 3rd is worth 890. The Jets picks 35 and 38 is 1070. The Jets probably don't make that trade unless they absolutely needed pick 24.
