You might not ever find such a consistently dominant offensive lineman as Zack Martin. I just watched a ton of plays and focused 100% attention to his handiwork.

Need to turn a guy at the point of attack? Done
Need to maul a guy? Done
Need to get to the second level to put the shudder on a linebacker? Done
Knock a guy back five yards? Done
Need to chip a d-lineman and then get to the linebacker and knock him back? Done
Need to protect the quarterback? Done
Need to demoralize a defense and take their heart away? Done

Play after play after play.

Zack Martin is one smart and nasty man who if you have the misfortune to oppose him...will make you look like a helpless fool on the football field.

You forgot one:

Need a huddle dance? Done

:D

While the line had moments of dominance int eh game when Bowman went out his replacements really sucked.

There was a lot of humping going on in the NFL today. :lmao2:

Brad and Babe interviewed him after the game. It was on the local post game show that airs on CBS local sports around 11:00 each Sunday. They interview different players.

Zack said on the first 3 series, 49ers as they often like to do disguise their defenses. They bring pressure from different sides, blitz, fake blitz from different sides. Miss it up.
But once they got it figured out, and were able to communicate better on the OL. Then they could get the running game going, and protections better played.

He hadn't been as consistently awesome to start the season as we've become accustomed to. Was good to see him today putting in work and enjoying himself while doing it.

Yep.

Wish we had more health on the OL to help him more.

Maybe by the end of the Bye Week we know if Collins is healing and Smith is back to normal.

That will make Martin like Godzilla.

Yes. He was a human road grader today in every sense as was the whole Oline unit. I really loved how they fed off of Zeke and vise versa. I was pretty amused by troy's commentary in the 4th quarter comparing the overall run game dominance to his Emmitt days. In that same sequence there was a replay where he talked about Fred knocking his man completely out of the picture. You could totally hear Troy start to crack up about the whole thing and he was pretty bemused I think by the deja vu of it all. It was pretty hilarious to hear actually. Didn't help that the Niners lost Bowman (great player whom I fear his career maybe done if early reports are accurate) but it was so amazing to see how we imposed our will with those long 4th quarter drives. I love that brand of football.

Add Leary as well. He was bench pressing 300 lbs. DL completely out of the way.

Needless to say, the FO seriously needs to consider cloning this guy -- why, we would be invincible. Superman, eat your heart out! ;)

I concur. Linemen usually age pretty well. I hope we can lock him in well before free agency.

Huge task to re-sign him before free agency. Have to hope the front office can just get it done.
