I am interested in what value would Choice fetch "IF" Dallas wanted to trade him. For now I am not suggesting it will or should happen, I'd just like to know what his worth is. My guess is a second round pick?

i think it would be more like a 3rd rounder. decent quality rbs can be had in the later rounds, imo.

but like you said, i don't see choice going anywhere.

I think it will take no less than a 1st or an early 2nd

3rd, running backs are a dime a dozen and he isn't anything special.

OK-question 2.

What would the value chart say the cost for the Cowboys to move from 27 to say 22 in the coming draft?

I'd rather know the value of Barber, if ya get my drift.

No way anyone gives a 1st rd or high early 2nd for a third string rb! He has value but nothing that would merit more than a 3rd round pick.

Kyle Koiser + 27th pick should do it.

fans over rate running backs here, it happens.

julius, hambrick. Flashes don't make them all pros, and fans keep on anointing the next great Running back here. Choice isn't special. He is a solid back who needs to catch better and block better. He also needs to shut his pie hole.

Negative.

I learned everything I need to know about Choice during that stretch in 08 when our line and Romo were banged up and we were facing 4 of the 5 best defenses in the league.

Choice is a player and I'd be comfortable going into week 1 knowing he was the starter if we were overcome by injuries.

so in a limited and temparary role you learned all you needed to know about a running back?

Gosh, I never heard that before.

Steelers, Giants, Ravens, Eagles.

Our line was playing like crap, receivers weren't getting open, Romo had 9 fingers, and the only bright spot in that stretch was Choice.

You don't make your first 4 career starts against those defenses and perform the way he did. He's loved in the locker room, he's a hard worker, and he is 24 with very low mileage.

in the last 2 years I've learned Marion Barber is one of the slowest runningbacks in the league and appears to be getting slower even at his age!

running backs flash all the time. Fans need to settle down.

he doesn't block all that great and he drops way more balls than he should.

Barber is a better blocker and a better pass catcher. Choice is quicker than barber. Felix is faster and shiftier than both of them.

I am realistic about the running backs. As I hope the coaches are.

He was definitely unimpressive this year. Whether it was the result of injuries or not, we'll find out this year.
