he played a good game today - he seems interesting

Van Eskridge, S, East Carolina
Height: 6-0. Weight: 200.
Projected 40 Time: 4.54.
Projected Round (2010): 3-4.

3/13/09: Though his name may lead people to believe that he's some artist, Van Eskridge totaled 97 tackles, four interceptions (one for a touchdown) and three passes broken up. He was a member of the All-Conference USA First Team.

8/6/08: Though Van Eskridge has been a good contributor at East Carolina (12 starts, 55 tackles), he may have trouble finding a spot in the NFL. He's not tall or quick enough to be a free safety, while his size and tackling ability limits his strong safety prospects

He picked off two passes against the Cougars and has four interceptions in two C-USA title game appearances. He has six picks this season and ranks second on the Pirates with 93 tackles, including 10 against Houston and 11 stops against Virginia Tech.

Eskridge is a three-year starter and a ballhawk with 11 career interceptions who was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game.

DT

Jay Ross, East Carolina
Height: 6-3. Weight: 314.
Projected 40 Time: 5.14.
Projected Round (2009): 3-4.
11/28/09: Has 35 tackles, three TFL, 1.5 sacks and a 49-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Jay Ross didn't look too bad running that one back on national TV.

2/14/09: Once again an All-Conference USA honorable mention, Jay Ross accumulated 48 tackles, 9.5 TFL and 4.5 sacks.
