I'm very curious to know what Eddie has against Michael Anthony. He's just totally shunned the guy. I was reading Anthony's website and the guy is pure class. He told fans that Wolfgang is a good kid and that they should give him a good reception. I've certainly lost a bit of respect for Eddie over this.

Eddie's a A-H*le...always has been.

Replacing Anthony with Wolfgang is a travesty.

But the biggest one was not working it out with Roth.

All those years that they could have been making music wasted.

Yes I know that Hagar had some good songs with them...but they weren't the same without Roth.

Hagar was good without Van Halen, Roth is a nobody without Van Halen but you're right, Van Halen is better with Roth.

Liked both Roth and Sammy. However always liked Van Halen better with roth.

Eddie is a jerk but let me tell you Roth is a freaking nutbag and a arrogant jerk as well.

I doubt it lasts with them again. Two egos of that magnitude will probably not last very long.

There is no doubt they are better with Roth. But after checking out Anthony's website and reading assorted articles, both Anthony and Hagar come across as genuinely cool, likeable guys. I mean, Michael Anthony has his own line of hot sauces and holds recipe competitions on his site. You can't get much more down to earth than that. As for Hagar, he refused to tour with Van Halen in 2004 unless Anthony was involved (apparently Eddie and Alex didn't want him around.) Again, Hagar strikes me as a principled guy. The two of them may have been the junior members (for lack of a better term) of a once great band, but I'm sure they are way more fun to hang out with.

Finally, the most ridiculous thing I read was that a while back on the VH website, Anthony's picture had been airbrushed off of the first album cover and replaced with an image of Wolfgang Van Halen. How insulting is that? Not only to Anthony but also to fans who have invested so many memories in the music, the albums and the covers that adorn them. After many fans complained, the original album photography was restored. I have to say, I have no respect for Eddie or for his henchman brother.

Anyways, I have no idea why I've been thinking about Van Halen so much lately. A bit disturbing...

I loved VH with both singers but did prefer DLR.

My main thing:

When Eddie played the guitar

When Eddie played the keyboard :puke:
