Watched Cowboys kicker Mike Vanderjagt in warmups make field goals of 43 and 48 yards. But he was wide-left on a 50 yarder. His next try he made it.
It will be an interesting day if the game has to be decided by Vanderjagt.

I'd rather have him wide left then wide right. At least if he's wide left, it's not the same mental block that he has been going through. However, when the game starts it isn't going to matter, he better just make the freakin' kick.

I don't claim to be an expert but it looks to me like he is punching or jabbing at the ball and not following through on his kicks. He needs to study some film of himself kicking the way golfers or baseball players watch tapes of themselves swinging the club/bat although I would think that is a routine thing with NFL kickers. The position off his foot after the kick seems to be pointed off to the right rather than in the direction of the goalpost.

If any of you guys have taped the games, maybe you could check it out.
Just a thought.

I Got the answer.

We need to have the LT on the FG team hike the ball and romo line up behind him and his kicks will split the up rights!

...(5) PATs today and one FG.

The first PAT went slightly left - that was good. The next one went down the middle. The third went right and from there the trend was right.

The fourth PAT was right, I missed the fifth for a bathroom break and when I have some time this weekend I will watch the tape. The FG...well we all know what happened with that.
