Didn't see this posted anywhere. Apologize if it's a repost.

From KFFL...

Cowboys | Vanderjagt to kickoff Week 4
Sun, 1 Oct 2006 06:13:44 -0700
Updating a previous report, Clarence E. Hill Jr., of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys PK Mike Vanderjagt will handle kickoff duties during Week 4. Place-kicker Shaun Suisham did not travel with the club this week.

That's what Bradie James said yesterday as well.

Ouch. That's 10-15 yards we lose every kickoff.

Yeah. I for one don't mind Suisham taking up a roster spot. I rather have him give us consistent KOs rather than have someone replace him who may record a ST tackle or two. Or if it's a case of Suisham vs Rector, well having Suisham would force BP to use Newmann more

Bottom line is that not having Suisham can hurt us in the field position aspect of the game.

Man the only thing im a little bit nervous about is pacman returning kicks, hes a little fast 1 and that extra yards will add up

only reason he's doing it this week is because of who our opponent is.

Best time to try it I suppose, see how Vandy does.

Watch him step up today and nail a couple of touchbacks.

Why do I feel so nervous about this game the closer it gets? I know the Cowboys SHOULD kill Tennessee, but there's the Vandy factor, VY pumping up the crowd, the TO crazy week factor. It's making me scared. Hopefully, the Boyz will start well, removing the crowd and all doubt.

we all should be nervous considering what has happen this week. Also, the guys on the other side are professionals. they won't just roll over. We thought we'd waltz in and beat an expansion Texans team a couple years ago.

Parcells mentioned that he would only use Vandy for KO if he's not afraid of the Kick Returner.. Slap in the face to whomever's returning kicks for Tennessee.. :))

I'd laugh if this made it to the Titans bulletin board as a rallying point.

"Parcells insults Titans by having Vanderjagt kick off!"

Could turn their season around!:laugh1:

I think Swisham is a better kicker then Vanderjagt. Just go with him.

I don't think Swisham is great by any means but Vanderjagt is just an overrated kicker that's bad in the locker room. Don't care for him much.

I don't want to make excuses for the guy because I hate him just as much as all of you...

but we were terrible in defending the FG blockers the whole game. I found myself going "Wow, that was close..." after EVERY kick we had the whole game because it looked like the guys off the corner were close to blocking the kick. On the one he missed, I think they were closer to blocking it than any other. I honestly think that kick could/would have been blocked if he didn't kick it as right as he did.

Overrated? Hmm. Best FG% in NFL history. A statistic like that kinda speaks for itself.
