Vegas Odds

Vegas sways Cowboys favor by about 1.5 points as the fan base is large and bets them heavily.
But the schedule is actually friendly "right now".
I'd suggest 10 is about right for over/under.
I have 200 bucks already wagered on a sportsbook that says they go for over 9.5 Wins.
I also have 25 tossed on them to win the SB which would pay out 825.

According to one sports book, the Cowboys are favored in 11 of 17 games right now. Here's a link to the odds for every game: https://news.wagertalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/NFL.pdf

Obviously this will change many times even before opening day but, thought it was interesting. 11-6 ..? Are they crazy, or pretty good at this stuff..?
I dont think its crazy and Vegas has been in business successfully because they pay the best in the business to take care of the business.
Vegas thinking we might be 11-6 could be the base line.
Invest in who gets payed to be right,, I value vegas lines much more than the talking heads,, follow the money.

The Cowboys do look like a 10 to 11 win team. They will have a lot of new players and a lot of good players returning from injury including the best qb in the division. They look like they will have a dominant play maker on defense in Parsons and a much improved defense under Quinn.

11 sounds about right as of now. But I doubt it changes up or down by no more than 1.
11 wins should be good enough to win the division.

We will improve 3 wins by staying healthy and another 2 with a better defense. That gets us to 11.
I don't think any of the other teams have improved as much to add to their win total. Maybe WFT, but no more than 2 wins depending which Fitz shows up.

That's encouraging, as I had visions of our Cowboys ending up with a 9-8 record in 2021.

Seemingly, Vegas is buying into our "D" doing well. Here's hoping they're right about that.

I've always had plenty of confidence that Vegas knows what they're doing. Sounds great.

Rivera is a good coach so I expect them to improve.

I refuse to call the Commanders anything but that. Catii don't do dat PC WFT rubbish. It's gotten out of hand and I'm not playin dat game.

I like your style, but it reminds a little of the Seinfeld episode where Jimmy likes Elaine.

Take the under. Once OL misses a few games and other Drama that always finds this team. 9-8 or 10-7 having to win the last game and you know how that ends up.

Weak division, easy schedule (on paper), Daks return, defense can’t get any worse....right? 11-6 doesn’t sound unrealistic to me. I mean is a 5-0/4-1 division record out of the question? Seems to me NYG and PHI should be 4 winnable games, maybe split with wash? Can they play .500ish ball against the rest of the league?

The roster is pretty solid. Division is weak. 11 wins is not a stretch.

I totally agree. 11 wins should be enough to win the division. If not, I should be enough to claim one of the 3 wildcard seeds.

Vegas always favors the cowboys. Some season I look at the super owls odds thinking we have to be 40:1 or 50:1 that season. Was thinking yeah I’ll drops. $20 on them just for fun. When I look at the odds, it’s like 15:1 or 20:1. Lol

but yeah. I see about 10-12 wins from that schedule this year. So that is about right.
