Sit Anthony Henry
By Rafael Vela 44 Comments
You can’t win Super Bowls in October, but you can lose them there if you’re not smart.

Anthony Henry has a high ankle sprain that’s been described as “not serious.”

The normal recovery time from one is two to four weeks.

Look beyond the early hysteria over the Patriots game and at Dallas’ next month:

– at Buffalo
– vs. New England
– vs. Minnesota
Bye
The Cowboys should be able to play the Bills and Vikings without Henry. He’s a big loss versus New England but if Dallas can get to the bye without Henry and Terence Newman re-aggravating their injuries, Dallas could start the home stretch, which begins with three consecutive divisional games, with healthy starting cornerbacks for the first time this year.

Henry means much more if he’s healthy against the Eagles, Giants and Commanders than he ever will gimpy against the Pats. Losses to AFC teams rank way down in the tie-breaker formula. And as good as 4-0 feels, the Cowboys have not played enough good games to look past tie-breakers.

i agree with vela on this one.. we can beat buffalo and minn. without henry, just like we beat new york and miami without newman. we need henry for the stretch... if we lose to new england in october who cares- i want to beat them in the super bowl.
