Seahawks Down: the injury bug has bitten Seattle’s camp. (scroll down) Consequently up to 12 starters could miss the Dallas game. Three quarters of the Seahawks starting defensive line — Grant Wistrom, Rocky Bernard, Marcus Tubbs — are out. So are Michael Boulware, Jeramy Stevens and Darrell Jackson.

That's not a good thing.

I'd like to see what our o-line could or could not do.

They can build confidence if the Seahawks D-line is weak and cannot do much.

Then they can carry that confidence over to the New Orleans game

i actually think it's a good thing- if the o-line plays well, perhaps it will give them some confidence. then again, if they get manhandled by seattle's 2nd string D-line, its going to be a long year. i am already having nightmares about stroud and henderson in week 1.:bang2:

It is not just their second string, more like their third and even fourth string.

I could care less about "confidence". If they don't do well, we have some work to do on our line.

It will allow Romo to have very decent shot at showing everyone what he can do because he SHOULD have more than enough time to throw and not be under duress. Also Tyson Thompson should have running lanes to show his stuff.

Our OL still could struggle.....

And if they do, we should cut the lot of them and start over. Chances are of the seven or eight Seahawk defensive lineman that will make the team, only two or three will actually play.

Well, based on this info, if our o-line has problems with this d-line we are in real trouble.

Grant Wistrom and Joe Tafoya are the first and second team REs. Rocky Bernard and Marcus Tubbs are the first and second team RTs.

They have Kemp Rasmussen and Chris Cooper as 3rd and 4th team RE. Rookie Darryl Tapp is #2 LE but they do interchange sides.

RE 6-3 265 Kemp Rasmussen 6-5 290 Chris Cooper
RT 6-2 294 Craig Terrill 6-4 305 Russell Davis
LT 6-0 270 Chuck Darby (Terrill) (Davis)
LE 6-3 268 Bryce Fisher 6-1 265 Darryl Tapp 6-4 252 Jeb Huckeba 6-2 278 Robert Pollard

Well... you might still see what they can not do.

So in other words this game is an absolute no win situation for our O-line...

If they play poorly then they stink as we all feared.

If they play well then it's meaningless because they did so against Seattle's scrubs.

eh.. the Seahawks' D-Line sucks anyway.. not much of a difference between their starters and their 3rd string if ya ask me..

That's about it. :)

But I am sure no matter what happens, you will see many people taking it out of context depending on what side of the fence they sit on.

I consider this game a better one to evaluate our defense on considering they have been eating our offense alive. Seattle has a pretty deep offensive line and an underrated bunch of receivers. We might get a better gauge of where we stand defensively.

At least as much as you can draw conclusions from the first exhibition anyways.

The seahawks lead the NFL in sacks last year.

True, they don't "suck", but I think we would have looked pretty good rushing the passer if we played the 49ers, Cardinals and Rams six times.

Good point.

I'm probably the only one, but I'm actually more excited about watching Sam Hurd this game, not Tony Romo. Romo probably won't see more then a handful of snaps this season anyway. I want to watch the players that might actually play this year.
