"A month ago, many questioned whether Dallas could trade down and take a guy like Cam Jordan in the mid-teens or around pick 20. And if they passed on Jordan, could they do the same for a guy like Tyron Smith? Or Gabe Carimi? Or Derek Sherrod?

Now, Dallas may have to stay put at pick nine and cross their fingers that guys like this are not off the board. Raw numbers now dictate that Dallas will get somebody to bolster the offensive line or the pass rush with the first pick".

Great article and much more information about players who can help this team are in it. Vela has been all over this draft very early. Vela touts his Jedi (Wes Bunting) and looks back at some of the players (who are rising)Bunting tipped him off about, back in the fall and early winter.

It's nice to have a top ten pick when talent starts shooting up the board. That means we may get a better player at 9 or that we can slide down a few spots and pick up another choice later in the draft.

I remember when Demarcus Ware shot right up the draft board. It was nice having a premium pick to be able to snatch him. Some OL prospect may start to move up the board and may no longer be a reach at our pick.

It happens every year. There will be an OT that is rated around that 9 spot by most "experts" after the combine.
