This is just a description of one series. There is much more in the article and Vela is one of the best in my view. He has more to say about Parnell and not all of it like this.

Romo started a promising drive that ended with a poor sequence from right tackle Jermey Parnell. Miles Austin converted a 3rd-and-7 for 12. Tanner then gained nine yards running behind Doug Free. Two runs behind right tackle Parnell failed to gain that yard, so Bill Callahan called for a 4th-and-1 blast behind Tyron Smith. Three plays later, Parnell beaten for sack, pushing the Cowboys out of Dan Bailey's field goal range.

That is terrible reporting.

Here is Parnell's efforts on the offensive sequence after Webb's INT up to the point that Romo was sacked:

1-10 Romo holds the ball for 6 seconds. Incomplete to Witten. Romo almost sacked by stunting DL on the side Left side of the OL. Parnell’s man does nothing but jump up when the ball is thrown.

2-10 Middle run. Parnell blocks his man completely out of the play.

3-6 Pass. Parnell blocks his man. No pressure on Romo.

1-10 Tanner run behind Parnell/Free. Parnell blocks his man completely out of the play and drives him almost to the sideline.

2-9 Tanner run just off-tackle on Parnell’s side. Parnell drives his man (Geno Atkins) completely out of the play.

3-1 Parnell’s loses his block. His man is the 1st to hit the RB.

4-1 Zone type run to the Left. Parnell blocks on the backside.

1-10 Run to the right. Parnell drives his man completely out of the play.

2-10 Incomplete pass. Romo holds the ball for 6 seconds. Parnell initially has no man to block but stays aware and prevents a rusher coming from the other side of the line from blindsiding Romo.

3-11 Parnell drives his man deep and wide. Romo only needed to take 1 step forward to avoid the outside rusher going against Parnell but Free lost his block and his man sacked Romo.

Not everyone sees the same thing as you x and if they see something different it's not the end of the world and certainly not 'terrible.'

I don't see the miles catch so I am not sure which plays correlate. If they do not then we are comparing apples and oranges.

Parnell was slow off the snap.; he didn't drive anybody on that play.

Free did lose his block however, but atleast he held a block for a second, Parnell was DOA from the gun.

The 3-6 in my sequence was a catch and 3rd down conversion by Austin.

If that had been a message board post, then I wouldn't have called it terrible; however, it was published as an "article".

He blamed Parnell for the failed runs to his side yet Parnell complete blocked his man out of the play. That's not just my opinion, his man was blocked out of the play.

No, he was not slow off the snap. I'm watching the play right now. The defender started from a very wide alignment and at 3 seconds after the snap Parnell is starting to lose his block 10 yards back from the line of scrimmage. The defender is only free for a moment as Parnell recovers and gets his hand on him again. Romo literally only needed to be able to take 1 step forward to completely avoid Parnell's man.

If opposing QBs could not step up in the pocket on plays like this, Ware would have 200 sacks per season.

Again people see different things. You seem to be getting emotional about it. I will look for myself as well when I have time later.

I don't know if emotional is the exact description, but I get plenty of garbage from the likes of Calvin Watkins, etc.. I expect a guy like Vela to report with some amount of accuracy.
