There's nothing on the Patriots' most popular message board about any radio report out of Boston that Vinatieri being close to signing with Dallas.

If there was such a report, you'd think someone would have heard it and posted something, considering that he's one of their two main concerns at the moment.

I've listened to Boston sports radio all day and this story is not true. If anything there are hints the Packers are frontrunners to sign him. I'll keep all updated if that changes.

all it said in sumones link was that Vinetari was in talks with dallas now and the Pack should go after vanderjagt. To be honest If mr V is here in talks now i think BP will chain himself to block off the only exit until he signs with us. They wont let him out of Big D if he there

I think it's gonna happen. That is three places now who have reported the same thing from that radio station. I wonder if he is in Dallas right now.

There's an article out there where Vanderjagt's agent was quoted as saying that the Packers were interested. But I haven't seen anything since then regarding negotiations or anything...
