That's not what I said. I said the speed of the IPhone is compramised by using the CDMA technology. The Droid does not seem to face the same kinds of issues with it's performance. I don't know if it's because of the design differences or what. With the Droid, I get good performance and the benefit of the Verizon network, which works much better then AT&T in my Geo. It's the better solution for me.

That's a very subjective point of view.

I haven't seen any benchmark tests where this has been proven.

Bandwidth/throughput has nothing to do with the speed of applications/ui/interface on a smartphone.

I've been buying $AAPL since it was trading for $240. I'm lovin them apples right now...

Furthermore, I'd like to add that Android eating into AAPL maketshare happened because the iPhone was only selling on one carrier. Imagine if multiple carriers sold the iPhone. Imagine if Apple ever had a 'buy one - get one free' deal.

A lot of people I know already had a an iphone where waiting to upgrade and switched carriers and not switch from a droid to an iphone. I think a lot of it is people getting off AT&T but not all of them. I know a lot of people that dropped iphone for droid and have no intentions of ever going back

I know a lot of people that skipped from Droid to get an iPhone on Verizon.

There have been surveys showing masses of people leaving the Android platform now that Verizon has the iPhone.

Numbers seem to indicate this to be true.

1) Verizon sold out their first run.
2) Verizon has stated it's been the best selling phone on first day. Ever.

So...

Droid is not a phone it is an OS and several vendors put Droid on a phone. That is why when people say well Motorola sales blah blah when Motorola does not make droids they make phones and add driod on top as well as HTTC and smasung. So where apple has one and only one phone there are a variety of style of droids and vendors.

I personally seen more people go the other way and not look back but then again I work with a bunch of geeks who root their phones and everything else with them.

Incorrect.

The Droid is a phone.

Android is the OS.

Purely subjective.

I have seen - and the numbers back it up with Verizon - that people are bailing on the Android platform and going with IOS.

I work with geeks too.

Your money. I guess you can choose to buy what you want. My money, I elected to go with a Droid. I do not have an IPhone but I do have a Droid on Verizon and a BlackBerry on AT&T. I will never use ATT again. Service is terrible. Will probably never use an IPhone either. I like the Droid.

If you are currently buying Apple stock, I highly suggest you do a close evaluation of that stock. Don't be last in and last out.

No Steve Jobs and $AAPL trading at an all time high this morning.

How can it be?!?!

Might be that a lot of stocks are doing extremely well so far this morning. Did real good a few days ago, then one or two days of not much movement, then this morning they seem to be going up again.

I think everyone of my stocks have taken jumps last week and so far this morning.

Now that is not to take anything away from the apple stock as I kind of figured they would go down with Jobs out of the picture for right now. But again it seems like most are doing well this morning...and I am happy they are.:D

There was an initial hit when Jobs announced his leave of absense. Took about it week to make it up.

The point being:

It was a ridiculous comment from a guy who has a hardon for bad mouthing Apple. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Ruh roh! Seems the Verizon iPhone is very popular, which is good news for Verizon but not so good for Android and BlackBerry. A new survey says many users of the Google and Research in Motion Smartphones would likely switch to Verizon's new offering.
