Only the Commanders, Eagles, Lions, Giants and Cardinals could win more games than us (of the non division leaders). New Orleans and Carolina could finish tied with us and if they did, at least Carolina would have the tie breaker.

Minnesota and Chicago could tie us at 10-6 (if they won out and we lost out) but we have head to head on them.

Now one more win by us or loss by the Eagles, Commanders, Cardinals, Saints and Panthers knocks them out the ability to be ahead of us.

Cardinals could still possibly have the conference tie breaker but they would have to win out, highly unlikely.

We are basically in at this point (although we already knew that).

Next, the division, then the conference, then the SB.

So when do we actually clinch one a spot.

I believe one more win and a loss by either Det or Arizona clinches a play off spot. One win means the worst record we could have is 11-5:

best case scenario for remaining teams
Det 11-5
Az 11-5
Wash 11-5 (Dal holds tie breaker)
Philly 11-5 (Dal holds tie breaker)

We would also need a loss by the Saints and Panthers as they could theoretically finished tied with us and might have the conference tie breaker in Saints's scenario and would have head to head in Panthers' case.

If we win one more, the worst we can finish is 11-5. If NO and Car winn all of their remaining games (which both can't because they will play each other) the best either could finish is 10-6. So they will be irrelevant if we win one more.

Honestly, they are the team I least want to face in the playoffs. They know us the best, and we all know how crazy divisional games can be. I want another shot at Seattle after last year. My god, we would not let up at all. We would crush those overrated Seahawks.

The Cowboys are 10-1 and the Giants are 7-3 with 5 games left to play. As of tonight, Dallas has a 3.5 game lead (due to the head-to-head tie-breaker).

That means the magic number to clinch the division is 3, either wins by the Cowboys or losses by the Giants.

So it will be down to 2 if the Giants lose on Sunday?

3.5 game lead with 5 to play.............would be monumental collaspe.

Not going to happen, G-men will be wildcard.

We aren't facing anyone in the first round. First round bye, here we come.

i hope we get to face the seahawks in the 1st round

Better hope Arizona wins the NFC West than and they really can. But you don't have to worry about us playing anyone in the 1st round because we'll be in a bye.

Yep. And in theory, if the Giants were to drop this game to the Vikings, we could clinch the division with a win over the Packers and a Giants loss to the Bears in Chicago next weekend.. we're not too far away from clinching a BYE week too (but the math is too complicated for me to figure out on the fly).

Let's just keep winning that's all. Green Bay is the next victim. We need to make a stand to the NFC and the NFL and let NE and the rest of the NFL know that we just WIN. No matter how it looks, we just win. And if we just do what we've been doing, we can clinch home-field through-out.

To get a first round bye, all that takes is to have one of the two best records of the division winners.

East: Dallas 10-1
North: Packers 10-1
South: Buccaneers 6-4
West: Seahawks 6-4

So if the Bucs lose to the Commanders and the Seahawks lose to the Rams this Sunday, Dallas would have a 4 game lead over the other division leaders with 6 games to go (maybe add a half game with tiebreakers, which I'm not gonna check). If Dallas were to win their next two games after those losses by the Bucs and Seahawks this Sunday, Dallas would gain a first round bye and the division if the Giants lose one of the next two.

With absolutely no help:

13 wins = first round bye.
13 wins = division title.
12 wins = wildcard (Giants would be 13-3).

11 wins could potentially group them in with the Lions, Commanders, Cardinals, and Eagles. I already know they have tiebreakers over the Commanders and Eagles, so they'd be tied with the Lions and Cardinals. Dallas plays the Lions and I don't know about tiebreakers with the Cardinals.
