Dak's window probably just has 3-4 more seasons, this is the time to put everything together in hopes of making a championship run. Quick turnarounds happen all the time, just look at this year's playoff field, teams like Patriots, Bears, 49ers were all picking in the top of the draft last year.

It starts with firing Eberflus and his entire defensive staff. Do a legitimate search and figure out what is best for this roster moving forward. What type of scheme fits best? Might as well do the same with the Special Teams Coordinator as his unit has unachieved as much as the defense.

Decide which current players you want to move forward with and ones who aren't apart of this future window. Keep a solid core together and build off of that. Players like Pickens, Williams, Clowney should be priority resigns, players like Fowler, Sam Williams, Murray, Sanborn, Wilson all should be allowed to leave and play elsewhere.

Have a legitimate free agency signing period, no more bottom fishing for low cost talent. Sign a few impact starters, this will allow them to allow the draft to come to them and not forced to draft for need.

We should have had this approach 3-4 seasons ago, time may be on his side

A quick turn around needs to be the vision here. Hopefully you get another 5 years of high end qb play but you never know with qbs once they hit their mid 30s. I would approach every offseason like it’s do or die. I mean once Dak hits the wall you’re gonna need a rebuild year regardless. I’d push everything into the next two seasons and make a serious run.

Been saying it all season 2026 It’s time to go all in. The offense just needs tweaks OT figured out, and complimentary speed back, but the D needs an overhaul that can be done with the right DC and some money spent.

With all due respect, we don't have the football minds to carry out your well thought out plan.
We have great marketing people and yes men.
So you will get a scatter shot approach and more dysfunctional management.
It's been that way for 30 years.
Ain't changing until Jerry and this front office is cleaned out.

You have no worries Jerry is all over it, you can sleep easy tonight knowing the mastermind is going to fix everything

My offseason plan would be:
(Of course Jerry will never do this)

1. Have Schotty fire Eberflus and announce he will search for and hire the next DC and begin the search asap. Sign an aggressive DC like Flores or Leonhard eventually

2. Tell Schotty:
a) you get to hire your DC but if the defense is not top 10 next season i will ask you why, not the DC. You are responsible for team performance
b) want at least 2 playoff wins next year. If you get me that, i extend you 2 years so youre not a lame duck coach. I also want a SB appearance in 2 years, if you get me that i extend you 5 years

3. Meet with Tyler Smith: we want you to play LT. If you are willing and show us you are a top LT, will give you a LT contract by the end of the season. Move Guyton to RT. If not, he plays LG at current salary and we need to draft a LT

4. Meet with Pickens: you are a great WR but we cannot pay Dak 60 and CD and you 30 each so we will tag and trade you. Ask your agent to find a team that will give us at least a 2 and you can go where you want

5. Be aggressive in FA by signing starting caliber FS, MLB, RB and a decent CB. Sign Hendrickson at DE

6. Need a top 5 run game if we want Dak to take us deep in playoffs so: Sign Williams to a decent 3 year deal where the 3rd year is a team option given his injury history. If he does not, then he walks. If i sign Williams, i also sign or draft a RB who is starter material not back up material. Davis walks, Blue is told to improve his blocking if he wants to play

6. BPA in draft but focus on DE, CB in rd 1 and safety, LB, RB rd 2

Everything else flows from this basic formula

Jerry and his stooges need a well thought out plan. Hopefully they are taking 10 days to come up with a plan to improve the team. I will wait patiently and cheer for the Bears Saturday. Would love for them to go into the draft with holes filled.

Absolutely nothing‘s changing, until Jerry Jones hires a , GM
Don’t think about it, don’t worry about it,
You could have the best ideas in the world, it just doesn’t matter

People have a lot of good opinions here, you think Jerry will take some of them under advice
This franchise sucks, I’m hoping the clouds go away someday and we have a new GM and Mr. cowboy , and the star is somehow shining again

#1 and #2 don’t happen with Jerrah. Jerrah will announce and firing or hiring. Jerrah will pick the next D coordinator. These are the reasons no real coach is coming here. It’s why they hire the Schotty’s of the world.

This is exactly my point, go for it now, before you start over with a new franchise QB.

They aren't going to be able to address all defensive needs in just 1 offseason, but a good DC can hide their positional weaknesses.

I am fully against moving Tyler to Tackle full time, he is an all pro guard who would be just a solid LT.

Have zero problems them taking the time to come out with a real plan of attack for the offseason.

I'm very excited to see which players Jerry Jones picks fights with, belittles and forces off the team this offseason.

I by no means believe Jerry is going to do anything but follow his loser off season norm.

However, this offseason offers a rare chance to stack a team for a run and if he just lets it slide by then hopefully all the Howdy-Doody-Support-The-Team-No-Matter-What fans will get their heads out of their BLEEP! and stop pouring money and energy into this dead-in-the-water franchise. Unfortunately, the chance the suckers stop being suckers is comparable to Jerry actually going all-in for a SB run.
