Very mixed feelings on Wades Return !!! I would prefer a hard nosed Coach that doesn't take crap off anyone. I have grown tired of his pundit looks on the Sideline. Sometimes I get embarrassed by having him as HC of the Boyz.

"Pundit looks"? I do not know what that is. A "pundit" is an expert -- someone smart and/or scholarly. That sounds like a good thing.

And why would you think Wade takes "crap" from anyone? Because he's not a hot-headed screamer on the sidelines? Because the players seem to like him? Leadership styles differ. Sometimes you get Omar Bradley, sometimes you get George Patton. Either one can win battles for you.

I don't see anything in your post (This one or others) showing you have mixed feelings. Seem pretty straight forward about your views of Wade? So where is the other side of these so called mixed feelings?

I have not been a fan of Wade in the past. I have called for his ousting more than once.

But Wade has done enough to stay on. Despite the sour ending, the team did make positive strides this year and I think starting from scratch would be counterproductive at this point. All the players want him back and that means something.

I believe it is easier for this team to keep moving forward with continuity at the coaching level rather than starting all over again.

I don't know that Wade really "takes crap" from anyone...that is just an outsider's perception. The foam-mouthed, slobbering screamers can be pretty embarrassing as well....you have to admit.

You can't say "he has to win at least one playoff game" for months on end and then not bring him back when he does exactly that. That was the "deal" we invented in our own minds going into the season, and Jerry evidently agrees.

I agree, and I think he actually did more than "win one playoff game."

He won the NFC East, no small feat, .. he beat the last undefeated NFC team, on the road, .. he convincingly three-swept our arch rival and biggest thorn in our side the past 10 yrs, .. he won three games in a row to end the regular season, .. and he won a playoff game.

We need to take stock in those, and build on all of that.

Well put. and good point. Also add into the equation that the Defense wasn't giving up that much points.

I'm not angry about it. I am feeling more confident about Wade then I once did. I'm not sure if he'll get us all the way over the hump but I do have more confidence now then I did a year ago.

And what does a hard nose coach actually get you.....I wouldn't mind Cowher as a coach....but really, what did he accomplish in Pittsburgh, lost a SB to the Cowboys....given a SB by the refs years later....
