Bringing in a vet WR as the #3 WR doesn't make any sense at this point. We must know which, if any, of our younger WRs can do that job. I'd expect Cowboys to wait at least half way thru TC w/2 preseason games under their belt before looking outside the team. If they eventually do bring in a vet, it means Ogletree isn't the guy/he'll be sent packing.

Dallas needs to stop bringing in vets that curb the growth of the young talent on the team. Not only should we know more about the WR's. We should know more about Butler by now. We should know more about the offensive line than we do. We should find a young talent for the third string qb.

Stay as is.
Gonzalas seems an option, but he's had too many injuries, and the Patriots just released him, so that says something there.

I heard on the radio last week, about Crayton, but no thanks. Drops passes, and has a big mouth.

No one on this list is of interest, too many issues and / or injuries, age.

As been posted, see what we have on our roster and how the perform in camp first. I wasn't big on bringing Ogletree back, back I certainly understand it, and hoped he improved.

I expect something of the same too.

Of all those guys Mike Simms Walker interests me the most.

If it came down to it, I sure wouldn't mind Crayton coming back for a reunion. I always liked him

I think the main reason we signed Laurent last year, was because Garrett had some nice inside information from Norv Turner and felt confident enough that he would work out.

Bet your butt on Andre Holmes and Danny Coale rounding out our receiving weapons.

Andre Holmes is the guy I want to step up and take the job... He's 6'5 and 223 lbs, and runs a 4.4 with an excellent vertical.

TJ remember when he was the hottest thing since sliced bread. And now, not even worth signing to a team. I really cant see any team signing him with enough young guys to try their chances on. I guess u kniow what your getting weith TJ but its not worth it at this stage.

I would say only Sims- walker and Gonzalez, will get a call from someone, giving them another shot, but the rest of them will not play any more due to a number of reasons, or just really 2, 1. too old, 2. just not that good

I would be surprised if this didnt happen. Coale with be the #3 with Holmes being the 4th if they go with 5 then Oglatree with get it. and it pains me to say that

Out of that whole list I'd choose.....No one. Rather our young guys step up.

Not saying we are interested in any of those guys by any means....

but could you imagine a few years back hearing that T.O., Burress, Edwards and Sims-Walker being unsigned free agents??

age and character issues aside... not even going to list TO here because we all know the incredible numbers he put up.

Burress - 550 receptions, 8,457 yards, 63 touchdowns
Sims-Walker - (4 years in league, and last year injured almost the whole season) 134 receptions, 1798 yards, 17 touchdowns
Edwards - 341 receptions, 5323 yards, 39 touchdowns

I could imagine us looking into Sims Walker or Edwards if someone on our team doesn't pan out (*cough* Ogletree). It is clear however, that at THIS point, we are at least going to test the receivers we have before looking to another vet.

I'd give Crayton a shot.

Progress stopper. You made a scouting evaluation on these young guys. Now see it through. You're not looking for a starter this year, but a 3rd WR in an offense that has Jason Witten. One of these young guys should be able to fill the role.

My money is on a depth chart of - Bryant, Austin, Coale, Holmes, Benford.

If we keep 6, add Ogletree into the middle of that.

We need to bring in Crayton or Gonzalez or some veteran who can start.

While have Miles and Dez and then 3 kids is fine and dandy when the 3 kids are only needed on 3 and 4 WR sets.

But if Miles or Dez gets hurt, you cannot put those kids in a starting role.

Romo is huge on trust. He only passes to people he trusts (thats why KO and Roy W never made it here) WRs have to be reliable or else Romo doesn't throw their direction. If Miles or Dez gets hurt (which is very, very likely) we need someone who can start and who Romo can trust. That will be a veteran.

So for that reason we need to bring in a veteran and put him in the 4th or 5th spot on the depth chart with the idea he would start if needed.

Relying on kids isn't fair to Romo.

Pass. They are all out there for 32 teams to sign. What does that tell you?
