It's really going to be interesting going into this season with three receivers who have been in this system seven years, five years, and four years.

We've been really hard on Terrance Williams, myself especially, and we also keep going into seasons expecting him to put it all together, but one thing we probably should have kept in mind is that he is still a really young guy. This is going to be his 4th year now. The system he came out of in Baylor probably didn't do him many favors. As much as I wanted Brice Butler to beat him out for 2nd receiver, I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do this year. Might make it difficult to re-sign him at the end of the year though.

I think it is also a pivotal year for Cole Beasley who I think has really continued to improve every year and has really helped make a case for him to get more involved in the offense year in and year out. Excited to see if this receiver corps which is now a veteran one, can really put everything together with Tony Romo. The expectations on this offense as a result is basically "sky's the limit".

It's the best compilation of offensive talent I've seen in Dallas since the 90's. Offensive line have all played together for a season, and all but 1 of them were 1st round talents. Wide receiver talent isn't 6 deep like some teams like, but the top 3 could compete with the best around the NFL, especially with how they each fit in their roles great. Running back depth is crazy deep, and the starter might be a top 5 back by the end of the season. And Jason Witten is Jason Witten.

If Romo can stay healthy, he is going to go off this year. You can tell Romo, Dez, Scandrick, and a lot of the team are coming into the season with a huge chip on their shoulder. They hear the doubters in the media loud and clear.

It's interesting, the offensive line is actually the offensive group I'm most worried about right now. I'm worried about Doug Free's foot. I'm worried about his ability to stay healthy and to be consistent on that right edge with speed rusher. I'm worried that Chaz Green isn't living up to expectations and that our depth is questionable. I'm worried that La'el Collins doesn't seem to be developing as quickly as I would have hoped.

The offensive line has to carry this team. This team goes as far as the offense goes, and the offense only goes as far as the offensive line goes. We should be able to run the ball well, but there is still a question as to how consistent we can pass block. I'm hoping that our running game takes the edge of the pass rush. We're really going to see how good of an offensive coordinator Linehan is. He has studs at almost every position. There are no excuses here. Is there a single offense in the league as talented as ours? I don't think there is one in the same ballpark...

I think you have to look closely at Arizona and Pittsburgh as models of what our offense should be able to accomplish. I would say we definitely have better pieces on offense than both of those teams. Just have to see it come together on the field.

Williams and Butler will be free agents at the end of year !!!

Mickey Spagnola and Brad sham said last night, Doug Free is having a great camp. said nothing about his foot. Didn't he have minor surgery on that very early in the year. I have not heard anything about his foot since January.

I expect williams to have a great year. I have spent the whole offseason shaking my head at all the blogger/insider cowboys people proclaiming that Brice Butler will take his job and be the starter even though they play different positions.

There are like 9 million bloggers and podcasters claiming to be insiders and they make me insane.

Anyway I think this is a good group of wr.

Someone has to sell me on this Butler hype.

I am not the biggest Williams fan but I've seen this idea of Butler maybe beating him out for the #2 WR spot floated in other threads and I just don't see it.

I think that it was brought up in some offseason conversations, much like there was talk of Green possibly beating out Free at right tackle. And once the players stepped on the field, all of that talk was over.

While I definitely think that Williams looks to be much improved, it may still be Butler that gets re-signed here if either of them do, strictly based on affordability. If Williams has the season many expect, I think he ends up out of Dallas' price range and gets an Alvin Harper type deal to be another team's #1 receiver.

Myself I don't have any problems with T Williams. I treat him for what he is and that is a #2 WR. I don't expect him to be a #1 but as a 2 he has made some big plays for this team and in post season he made some big plays putting up 3 TD catches.

Williams is going to be a stud this season. He reminds me of the kind of guy that puts it all together in a contract year.

On Talkin Cowboys Nick Eatman was singing Beasley's praises. Said he's going to increase his catches to 60-70 this year. Broaddus was nodding his head in agreement.

Assuming this team runs a lot, I don't know how Williams gets many catches. Where he could really blow up is the big plays.

I always hated the Green pick. That should have been the RB pick right there. He has done nothing to disprove the doubters.

But I dont think you have to worry about Green playing unless both tackles go down. No way they play that guy with Romo back there. Im sure they would take Collins and move him over to Frees spot and put Leary in at Guard if something happened to one of the tackles.

Williams I have always thought is just fine for what is essentially the 3 or 4 receiving option in this offense. With paying Dez and Witten what we pay them you simply cant have some high priced stud at the #2 WR spot. And certainly not moving forward with Zeke being the focus of the offense.

Seems like it keeps coming up with him. It's been a problem for a few years now.

I'm excited about all the receivers and that includes the Tight Ends. I'm getting maybe too excited about Lucky but throw the ball to him and stretch the field. Beasley is going to kill it this year. I'm hoping that Butler is making the final cut. That's a pretty good trio after Dez and Terrance. I'm just guessing they keep 5. It comes down to who stays healthy as always but how can we not be excited about the offense?
