My Dad was a navigator in the B-24 Liberator.I mean this old cat would have a $200 cab fare,,he flew B-24's out of Italy, said the b-24 had the flight characteristics of a brain damaged brick and never should have went into production, he said he was glad he flew out of Italy instead of England or he prolly wouldn't be here, said hitting flak clouds was like driving fast over a gravel road,,,I gave the dude my pH # and he'd call when I wasn't working and I'd haul him around for an hour or so in my pickup truck for free,a couple of times
Wow, he had to have his 'stuff' wired tight,he was probably was the smartest dude around that's not a job anybody could doMy Dad was a navigator in the B-24 Liberator.
