well something about them don't agree with me at all. second time already that they've made me puke.

Eating before I take them, settled stomach. Take one, 20 minutes later, puke.

I have been taking vicodin as needed since Feb. I try to avoid taking them unless I really need to but often times 1 500 mg does not even make a dent in the pain.

Just had my wisdom teeth pulled out. Gave me a bottle of 7.5 mg Vicodins. Didn't use it the first 3 days as I tend to have a very high tolerance for that sort of pain. I always save my pills for a few days of recreational use, and grunt through the pain beforehand.

I was taking 3 to 4 of them at a time. Vicodin just puts me in a good mood. There is a very light buzz as it comes on initially, but it goes away pretty quick. Vicodin is no big deal, just relaxing.

Percocet is more effective. 2 or 3 (5mg, preferably 10mg) give a really good buzz for a few hours, but I can still function perfectly without suspicion from others. They both just put me in a super good mood.

Percocets big brother Oxycontin however..

Pop a few 30mg Pills of that and have a nice day doing nothing


As for snorting that crap? Unless you are REAL good at extraction methods, you shouldn't be doing it at all. The secondary Ingredients in Hydrocodine or Oxycodine really arn't made for snorting (Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen). Those won't do anything for you except burn the hell out of your nasal cavity.

Well, first, you're not taking 500mg of Vicodin really. 500mg is the dose of Acetaminophen (Tylenol) in your pills. Vicodin (Lortab) is a mixture of that and Hydrocodone. If you took 500mg of Hydro... you'd be in lala land for quite a while, Morphine coma style. Your hydrocodone dose probably ranges between 2.5-10mg (most usually 5mg). It's perfectly safe to take 2 of those if you're having pain problems, just don't go for 3. The hydrocodone in Vicodin/Lortab isn't the problem, you can take the entire bottles worth of it. The problem is the Acetaminophen. Any more than 1000mg in one dose is not good for you at all. If it's mixed with Ibuprofen it would depend on the dose mixed with it (usually lower than ones mixed with Tylenol).

Tylenol is mixed with Hydrocodone due to legal issues. Hydro by itself is a Schedule II drug (basically illegal, unless prescribed for a severe condition.. A low dose mixed with Tylenol is a Schedule III drug.

Evidently you know more about the compound than I. All I know is I'm taking vicodin it is 500 mg. and all too often does not do much to kill the pain then again some of that is my own fault for waiting too long before taking it.

Threw my back out this past Sunday.

Would take a Soma during the day and then take a vicodin and valium at night.

Neither made me spacey or knocked me out. Just took some of the pain away but not enough that I was pain free.

Just made it bearable but was kind of shocked that I did not at least have a little bit of medicine head type of thing going.

I guess the only thing that might be an oddball side effect was that it made me a little frisky (to put it nicely lol) but I was not doped up enough to act on that feeling and make my back worse...although I think the wife probably thought she might get attacked. :laugh2:

First day back to work today...no pills. I think I had adjusted my posture, way of getting up and down and walking style to avoid pain when the back was really hurting so now instead of my back hurting...My hamstrings and one butt muscle is sore.

But overall I think the muscle relaxers did their job, the vicodin took the edge off the pain and it also allowed me to stretch my back here and there and help recover quicker than if I had nothing.
