I know they came at the end...but this kid............he might just have what we're looking for. Ware must be hurt........I just don't get it. Gross handled him ALL night one on one. As for Spencer: Missing IN ACtion again....don't get me wrong: he covered well, but NO pass rush whatsoever.

There is already a Butler thread.

And yeah he could be just the spark we needed to get this pass rush going.

I think we're pressing to get sacks, they're just not coming right now. I dont know what's up with Demarcus he's just not himself.

The sacks will come, maybe we just needed a game like this to start clicking.

No. He didn't. On multiple occasions, the ESPN analysts pointed out the help Gross was receiving.

I think that 3rd pass rusher is more of a necessity than a luxury. Ware and Spencer are not getting sacks because they are getting gassed, although Ware almost had one today. They needed someone else to show up and it looks like Butler did just that. Hopefully he can come in and take a few snaps away from the starters to allow them to be more ***ective.

Ware got chipped all night. He was rarely blocked 1 on 1 from the time the play started till the end of it.

That first butler sack he was around that player in the blink of an eye. That was pretty impressive.

I will say something for Spencer, though. he had tremendous coverage on a pass break up tonight. I couldn't believe I was seeing #93 when the players came off the ground. Smothering coverage and a great play.

yeah, Spencer still needs to start

but 2nd half, Butler needs to be in on alot of 3rd downs

Regardless of whether or not Butler was even touched, his speed is really impressive. Just wish it was like Madden and we could just sub him in place of Barbie and have him be ***ective from any of the LB positions!

For a rookie, you aint kiddin.' Looks like he's got some natural talent. We sure need him (or somebody) to help our rotation.

Anyway...

As soon as Jason Williams' ankle is well we can start to purge ourselves of the Carp plague.

And then we can work on exchanging Hamlins.

I did notice that Ware also takes an outside move almost everytime. It seemed easy to push him out of the play. If he had a good spin move, he'd be in there.

I do wonder about Spears. As good as Spencer's doing at OLB (imo), I'd be curious to see him line up at DE w/ Butler next to him at OLB for a play.

I think Bradie James should be more of a concern in the nickel than Carp should. He got beat a couple of times tonight.

Ware's not hurt. He still got pressure, almost had a sack, etc. And on Butler's second sack, Ware basically threw Gross right into Delhomme, which is why Delhomme couldn't get away from Butler.

you said it he covers well and he's playing a lot more coverage then Ware is. Spencer is pretty good and the sacks will come. Butler might be a good 3rd down pass rusher kinda like Ellis was

Ware was inches away from a sack all night long. I thought Butler was from Clemson not Oregon State?

he has been my pet since we drafted him

good to see him om the field

an playin well

and Spencer played a good gazme also

I think Jason Williams will be a GREAT MLB. I can't wait for him to get healthy, i'm really excited about the youth on this team.

I didn't get to see the entire 4th quarter because of work. Night shift. Butler had 2 sacks and a forced fumble? WHAT? That's awesome. We really need quality depth at linebacker and it looks like Butler could be what we needed.

Saying that, we played ugly. The defense held their own the second half but they had 2 gimme picks. We aren't going to be playing a slumping Delhomme every week. We have a few *easier* weeks ahead to get the defense dialed in and I hope it gets panned out for a run later in the season.

I don't really know what to say regarding the offense. Any game that Romo has 200+ yards passing and no turnovers is a good week for me, he did what he needed to pull out a W. We can and should be using our backs to their potential and that's exactly what we did.

Ware has been held a lot this season without getting the call and his presence helped Butler do his thing tonight.
