You know who he beat badly on that sack and strip of Chad Henne?

2009 All Pro RT Vernon Carey.

This dude is legit!

Pretty impressive Bob............. You got your hands off your crotch long enough to type this:)

Brandon Williams looks bad right now. And the guy I can't see us cutting is CuJo. He had 2 near sacks and had the same thing in the previous game. I think he makes it over Octavien. I think we keep Williams because of potential but he doesn't look very good right now, even rushing on RBs.

He had a great night, he was flying around like a man on a mission.

I only saw the end of the game, once I got a feed going. I'll watch it today, but I have to say I was a fan of his since last year :)

VB is looking like a legit pass rushing OLB these days. I think he'll make some plays this year and he would provide good dept in case of injury.

CuJo does look good -- he plays so hard every play -- but the only thing I see is that he's kind of out of control and runs himself out of some plays even with this being his second year in the system.

And yes, like I was saying last night, curiously B-Will is much better against the run than rushing. But, he's basically still a rookie and his head is probably still swimming a little bit.

I don't think we can keep b williams on the team. Too many bubble players who have been playing much better than him. The LB position is very crowded and he has shown absolutely nothing so far. I thought he was supposed to the great rusher with a very quick first step. To me he looks slow off the line and cannot get of his blocks. We may keep him though because wade seems to think highly of him.

the dolphins couldnt have been too pleased with their first teams performance against our second team. Yes they did score. But got knocked aroudn in the process .

just want to say I disagree with all of this.

Brandon williams is 22 years old coming off a knee surgery and is a rookie essentially on the field.

Just like butler did last year, williams is going to wear down at some point.

but cutting him is crazy. he has all kinds of ability and again, he is 22.

You may be right but I do think there are going to be some tough cuts just because of the numbers. Not saying Williams will or will not get cut but I think there are going to be some who have looked good at times in camp and pre season who will not make the 53 man roster. I think the better this team becomes the more likely you will see guys with talent struggle to make the team. I would not want to be in Wade shoes this long weekend as he has some hard choices.

me either.

I think a couple of guys who can help and may not end up here are steve octavien, deion anderson, junior siavii and sam hurd.

Clearly a possibility. Hard to know what the coaches are thinking in terms of how they project a player’s development over the next couple of years. I'm sure we will have some folks who are disappointed but that is the price you pay when your team is becoming a top contending team.

Yeah he's proven to me anyway that he is a guy who can make plays. I hope they keep him active this season.

Yep. You cant cut good players if you dont have good players already.

that is how guys like ron stone and brian waters escape your roster.

I personally don't think Brandon Williams is going anywhere. This is only his 2nd year. Talk about cutting him now is just as ridiculous as the talk that Stephen McGee is playing for a roster spot this preseason, or else he's gone.

I'm just glad people have stopped anointing him like he's done something to warrant it.

No doubt he made a strong case for himself to make the team.

We don't need to keep a slightly more progressed player over Brandon Williams, because we have the luxury of having two beast OLBs who as long as they're healthy, will play almost every snap. No way we keep a guy like Octavien and cut Brandon Williams. The coaching staff has been higher on BWill than Victor Butler since they both got here, so he's going to get more time to develop.

You don't cut your draft picks going into the 2nd year.

I hope Wade figures out a way to get Butler, Spencer and Ware on the field at the same time. Gl to that QB.
