If that is your definition of a difference maker, then absolutely I do believe that those two are difference makers.
The team as a whole, QUIT at the end of last season. Because there was a LOT of division on the team. Zach Thomas wasn't happy in Dallas. Chris Canty wanted the paycheck of a superstar, even though he is just a good solid player. TO thought that Dallas wasn't getting him the ball enough. Burnett wasn't happy as a nickle LB, he wanted to be a starter. The team as a whole was a bunch of different players all playing for themselves, who just happened to have the same color jersey on.
Both Igor and Brooking know exactly what Wade Phillips expects out of them, and will ask them to do and are very happy doing just that, and don't have grand visions of being something else.
Will either Igor or Brooking be game changing players, absolutely not. BUT, both players do know exactly what Wade Phillips wants out of them, and are happy playing their role. Thinks like that affect more than a game, those things affect an entire season.
Sports, and football in large part is about alot more than just having a bunch of talent on a field, there is alot to be said for having guys who know their role, and are more than happy to just play their role, and not try and be more than they are. This team still has more than enough superstar talent (Romo, Witten, Ware, Ratliff, Newman). What the team needs are guys who know their role, and are happy to be just that ROLE players, not guys who want to be more than they are.
