The 6’2”, 207-pounder caught 84 passes (23rd in NCAA) for 1,337 yards (ninth) and nine touchdowns for the Jayhawks in 2009. Over the past two seasons, Briscoe has amassed 176 catches for 2,744 yards and 24 touchdowns.

In addition to the Cowboys, the junior wide receiver has already worked out for the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Briscoe—who was named first-team All Big 12 in 2009—ran a 4.51 and 4.53 in the 40-yard-dash during Kansas’ pro day on March 10. Gil Brandt of NFL.com said he looked good during positional drills.

Cowboys sure are meeting with a lot of WR's.

Kid was a good kick returner as well and looks to be like a 2nd or 3rd rounder...

Scouting Reports
Briscoe possesses an impressive combination of quickness and power off the line. He does a nice job being physical into his routes and dipping his shoulder when fighting through press coverage. For the most part, he's able to quickly beat the bump and force opposing corners to play from behind. He's sudden on contact and does a nice job planting his foot in the ground and coming across the corners' frames once they try to get their hands on him. But he will struggle to separate vs. corners if they can get their hands in on him on his outside release. Briscoe is a patient route runner who displays a consistent release and does a nice job disguising his breaks until the last second. But he isn't explosive off the ball, and it takes him a couple of steps to eat up the cushion in off-coverage. He does a great job changing speeds and possesses the body control to drop his pad level and cleanly get out of his breaks. He's a bit of a strider downfield but exhibits good game speed and has the ability to hit another gear when tracking the ball. He demonstrates good coordination when asked to go up and high-point the play, and he consistently comes down with the catch. He locates the ball quickly downfield and possesses the power and balance to fight for inside position and box out corners from the play. Briscoe is physical in the open field with the ball in his hands and does a nice job using his powerful stiff arm to keep defenders off his frame. He's a big, physical athlete with great balance and body control as a route runner. He possesses the ability to beat press coverage and separate on the outside vs. NFL-caliber corners and has the makings of a starting receiver in the NFL.

Sorry, please merge

FYI, National Football Post accidentally used Darrell Stuckey's photo instead of Briscoes.

It seems like we definitely have an interest in drafting a receiver this year. I'm just wondering when, since we released Flo and Hamlin, we don't have as much flexibility. Or at least perceived flexibility.

Actually every player's days are numbered and it is just a matter of time.

We love our Dallas Day guys, so anyone we bring in has a decent chance of becoming a Cowboy.

This guy has some talent for sure.

So Hos, why all the interest in receivers?
There's this concept in draft analysis called due diligence. Did you notice we have also brought in Tight Ends? Of course not. That would require observations beyond your pathetic agenda.

We've also looked at RBs and other positions where we are considered strong. Did you know we had scouts watching Colt McCoy even if we have no intention of drafting him? Of course not, I was just asking to further illustrate how ridiculous your reasoning is.

There's also a concept in drafting called improving the team. Sometimes the #5 WR on a team isn't going to make it. See Isaiah Stanback for reference as to how this works. Try and learn something from it.

You bore the hell out of me with your "Hos is Roy Williams biggest delusional fan" routine. It's ignorant, annoying, and completely lacking in any basis of football knowledge. But by all means, continue to try and think you can expose me in some way. I don't mind making you look really foolish.

I am sick of his crap. You want to pile on? Take your best shot. Try not to bring a feather duster to gunfight like he does.

We've looked at 2 TEs as opposed to 6 or 7 receivers.

You don't think we could improve from Roy Williams? I know for a fact that you've agreed with people saying that '10 could be Roy's last year in Dallas if he doesn't shape up. So I don't know how me believing that Roy Williams could be the 1st guy next on the cutting block is so different.

And none of the receivers we've looked are team's 5th receiver types. Many teams think they will be destined for the tops of the receiver charts.

I didn't say anything about you concerning Roy Williams. In fact, I didn't even respond to you 1st in this thread.
