Video: Another WR will visit Cowboys - Briscoe from Kansas

Exactly my point about AD. It would be stupid not to dig deeper into him. But theres too many threads about that so to Miles.
How do you know they aren't and finding things they don't like? Because there aren't articles?

They are in control of the Austin situation. So I think they pretty much know theyre keeping him. I think if they take a WR he will be more of a returner b/c other than that hes probably not going to see a ton of action on the field. Then when Roy is let go next year you can get your starter opposite Austin. In the draft or when the normal FA returns.
I brought up the fact many of these guys have Return skills too. The losing Austin angle was only one thing I offered.

I doubt we lose him, but if the team does not have contingency plans in place, then what are they doing?

DCFanatic was on that for awhile. I dont feel I was telling any tales out of school here.

Plus its public knowledge AD hasnt visited
I am not saying you did anything wrong. Just explaining the origin.

They obviously did their HW at one point. But they still havent met w/ the kid. Thats just something I would have done. You could ask him why hes so lazy in the off-season and just get a general feel for this kid. Why meet w/ Mccourty twice? Its common knowledge hes squeaky clean. To me, you do your due dillegence on guys like AD. Could be a similar situation to Randy Moss

I dont know what we are arguing about here. They should be looking at all position at all round grades. We agree. They know they wont let Austin go so thats not really what theyre thinking though.

They haven't invited him to Dallas. There is a difference.

The question was posed and I offered the explanations. If those explanations produce questions, we clear them up.

In other words, who's arguing?

I cant imagine what this kid did at the combine to turn everyone off that bad. Im going to blame nerves.

We agree then. Miles isnt going anywhere and were dumb for passing up Anthony Davis

It could be more than what he did or said. Reports from coaches. Reports from doctors. Failed drug tests.

No, we don't agree on the 2nd part. If the Cowboys do indeed take him off their draft board there is a reason for it.

Briscoe is a Plaxico clone. He looked just like him in those Jayhawk uniforms that look like Gmen uniforms.

I always liked him, but if it were me I would take Kerry Meier (mispelled) later in the rounds. This kid is smart and knows how to play foortball. I could see Indy getting him because they love smart football WR's.

Roy Williams' days are numbered...

It's just a matter of time.

Either this is too send a message to Roy that the team is not playing around anymore and he better start producing or the team has come to the realization that all of us fans have already....THAT ROY FREAKING SUCKS!!!!

Doesnt make it smart.
I disagree. Quite often the guys whom we have removed have proven these efforts to be correct.

Bob Sacamano;3330445 said:
Yep, everything is all rosy with him. You can't replace 7 TDs.

This is Roy's last year, unless he pulls a Miles Austin and just blows up over night.

I think you would have better odds of winning the lottery than Roy turning into Austin, seriously.

I like this kid. I like him, Gilyard, and Shipley. I don't think that Dez Bryant is so much better than those three guys that you have to take him in the 1st round.

1. Bryan Bulaga / Bruce Campbell
2. Gilyard / Shipley / Briscoe
3. Best available DB

You mean Jackson... I think.

Adam posted a cool shot of one of our draft boards once. I believe it had Brian Westbrook as UDFA.

I knew it.

1. We could still lose Miles Austin if another team signs him to a contract we cannot match or choose not to.

Ever consider that being unprepared for that would be foolish? How sad.

Yet we have 3 restricted DEs and we've brought in only 4 for visits.

2. We need help on Kick Returns and several of these guys have experience there. Many of the CBs we are bringing in do too.

Ever think of that? How sad.

Dexter McCluster is about the only one with pro-return capabilities. Everyone else that we brought in has value as receivers first and foremost.

No...Why?...

Probably because he will still be on the team this year and will not be let go until next year at the earliest?

Probably because there will be another starting player that will be off the team before he will be?

OK, let's say that player is Marion Barber. Yet he's coming off 2 disappointing seasons, and we have 2 RBs that we like very much behind him. Roy however, is only coming off 1 disappointing season and we currently have no one as a viable starting WR behind him. Crayton is solid in that role, but they probably would prefer to have someone with more potential there.

Besides Roy Williams, who has 2010 to put up or ship out? I could see '10 being Terrence Newman's last year, but his release would be age determinant.

This is true, and everyone and their mother admits as much.
