Video board slightly higher

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but the video board was slightly higher yesterday than it had been all season long.

Now I know they raised it for U2, but when they lowered it back down it appears they made a little extra space between the board and the field.

From my seat I can now see two extra rows of seats across the stadium that I couldn't before.

Just thought it was worth mentioning. Also, the giant cables hanging from the four corners of the massive video board have been removed.

It may be a bit higher. They were supposedly working on it during the bye week. I know they got rid of the Mitsubishi sign. Not sure if they actually raised it as I haven't seen anything in particular. Only thing I've seen is an article about this:

Scoreboard work

Workers are raising the Cowboys' world's record HD video board to accommodate the stage for the Oct. 12 U2 concert. Once that's finished, the team will continue installation of a new mechanical system to allow the Cowboys to lower the video board when needed. The system won't allow it to be raised above its standard 90 feet.

Team spokesman Brett Daniels said work on the lowering mechanism probably will have to stop next week to give U2's crew time to set up their stage, which has rotating bridges and a steel structure that's 150 feet tall.

"I don't know that they [Cowboys workers] will be able to do much next week because they'll actually set up the stage," Daniels said.

The system to lower the board – as low as 30 feet above the ground – won't be finished until November. Daniels declined to comment on the cost of raising the video board for the concert or the cost of installing the system to lower it.
That mechanism will allow the Cowboys to adjust sightlines for the video board, particularly at events in which the upper deck isn't used.

"As we got the board installed and started looking at some of the events that were coming in, we realized the flexibility that system would give us for non-football events," Daniels said.

The Mitsubishi sign wasd moved to the top of the board.
It did look a little higher how that I look at some photos off my iphone.

Before I could not see the upper section across the stadium, and now I can see the first 2 or 3 rows.

I thought something was different as I seen those seats, but didn't think about the video board being higher.

The mechanism should allow them to both raise and lower it if necessary, not lower it only. Strange.

It's not true without pics.
It's true. I will post pics later.

I actually said last night that the pictures showed that they had not raised it, but I was looking at them on a small screen (my iphone). Looking at them on a large monitor, it's very clear that it's raised.

interesting observation, I didnt notice it, but from my seat there is no way I could.

nobody has hit it in warmups or in games and we have had some good punters here, so I think it is a non issue.

here is my pic from the carolina game.

Yup it looks "two rows" higher to me as well. When you take the amount of space above the far left entrance in the two pics it certainly looks raised.

Prior to the board being raised, I was unable to see the Ring of Honor on the opposite side of the field form my seats. As you can see in the Atlanta picture, I can just barely see the Ring of Honor.

Well it's cool that Jerry gave a little bit...but I'd rather see that thing sitting right at 90 ft. just so BSPN and the like can still whine about it.

Maybe your seat is lower

He was just drunker during the Falcons game, which caused him to slouch more when he took the pictures.
