It doesn't matter really. Some say he stomped on the star, others say he talked smack to Crayton. Something set Colombo off, as he normally doesn't go around pushing opposing players in the back after games, win or lose.

Jacobs had better be careful. He may talk smack to someone that has a pretty bad temper, and it could mark the end for him. For example, if I was in Colombo's shoes (with his build) that night, I would have dragged Jacobs to the star (with Gilbride clenched to him), and pounded him into the middle of it so deep that they would need shovels to get him out.

...and I'm a pretty mild mannered guy ;)

The problem is that the shove in the back could have triggered something much worse than mere trashtalking. Thankfully, nothing came of it.

Reminds me of the Jail scene in the eddie murphy classic Trading Places.

Columbo: I mean you beatin' 10 cops? You putting a man in the hospital? How come I don't see no bruises on you?

Jacobs: 'Cause I'm a karate man! And a karate man bruises on the inside! They don't show their weakness.

What could be worse than a great big horse of a man pulling a matronly, 'well, I nevah' face?

It's a litle choppy, but you get the gist of BJ backing down.

I want that Gaints coach as one of our LBs, he must be super strong looks how easily he holds back Jacobs with one arm he doesn't even drop his papers :laugh2:

Gilbride, wasn't he punched by one of his head coaches?

...and give the credit to Eli, for he's the one that pulled Jacobs back.

No, he was punched by Buddy Ryan. (Rex Ryan's (Jets) dad) Buddy was the DC in Houston (Oilers) while Gilbride was the OC at the time. Buddy Ryan punched him, because Gilbride's offense was so inept (nothing but 3 and outs) that Ryans defense was on the field most of the game and were wearing down.

Most of you I'm sure know, but Buddy Ryan was the master of the 46 defense. Born in Chicago with the 85' Bears and taken to Philly where Reggie White blossomed in it.

Jacobs knew better than to talk smack with Columbo. Jacobs may be big, but Columbo is bigger.

bigger and softer. jacobs is probably way stronger. you can guarantee jacobs has more muscle(and speed) than him.

Jacobs probably folds as soon as he gets hit too. Jacobs talks a lot and their's reasons for that.

yeah i wouldnt mind us taking that big huge DT in the nfl draft next year if we can get him from Alabama and letting jacobs run into him along with Igor

if not him, maybe we can draft a huge OT that is mean and nasty, we need some young nasty offensive linemen that are huge, strong and mean
