For those of you who have not seen the movie there is a really good part of the opening game at Texas Stadium. There is a scene when Tom Landry walks on the field and I actually got goosebumps! I know it meant a lot for me to see a reenactment of it because I was too young to understand back then. If you haven't seen the movie it is a great story of overcoming the odds and gives a glimpse of why football is such a special game regardless of the the team it is centered around.

Enjoy:

Very nice quality. Can't believe they got the jersey font wrong.

Thanks, I wanted to see that since I heard that the guy who played Landry got a great pop from the crowd when the saw him before filming.

Guys did we really have Red, White and Blue striping on our helmets? Or is that a Movie extra?

They actually did for a year or so in the 70's, not sure which year. I was impressed with that touch and the Drew Pearson banner...I really did not think they would have the players names on banners like that for the movie.

It was funny to see the field turf and modern cheerleaders used because they look nothing like they did in the 70s.

We sure did, in honor of the Bicentennial.

It was cool to see the OL go to their knees, stand up, then go back down.

Did the cheerleaders stand in the center of the field like that?

America's Team with that helmet!

Thats why I asked because I didn't know if the movie was trying to magnify the circumstances with Americas Team and all.
