Makes you wonder if you can trust any of these times being recorded.

I guess we could find out if he runs it again next weekend a couple times with some more watches.

If he did run in the 4.2-4.3 range the OMG DRAFT HIM  crowd will start to form.

Either that or Al Davis will try to turn in his "Taylor Mays" card when the Rams are on the clock :lmao:

I know little of this kid, other than people called him a roy williams clone and said he sucks and is over rated.

I was really hoping he would run fast as crap just to get some peoples' panties bunched up.

He ran faster than Holiday?

That is sick if he did.

I watched that thing like 30 times.

He did.

Could care less what the recorded times were.

What I don't get is that they can't start until the official says go. It's not a track and field competition. It's an exercise to measure true speed.

Let them start whenever they are ready, then use video to clock the speed.

Why dont they just have 2 laser triggers on each end feeding into a computer? Couldn't get any more accurate than that.

Seems like reaction time is just as important.

If your reaction was trash it would be covered up by getting to start whenever you wanted.

Getting off the line at the snap is pretty important.

Mays is in Blue. Holiday the small guy behind him. Is that Jacoby Ford in red out front?

I don't think they start when the dude says go.

They just have to come to a complete stop in their set.

Then they can go whenever.

No wind ups or momentum.

Yeah. He ran the fastest time this year.

This is a very cool feature of the runs overlapped. Shows how inaccurate hand timing these guys really is.

This makes you wonder how many other guys got screwed in their 40 time. At least it is proof that with all the tech behind the combine that it is indeed flawed. I think there are going to be alot of surprises at Pro Day for alot of guys.

This really doesn't make a difference because scouts and teams time these guys themselves

It gives the draftniks something to talk about, but other than that you are right.

There is no way Mays' time was accurate. His true time was probably 4.31 or something close to that. Very impressive for a guy his size. He just solidified his place into the first round. He also looked good in the field drills, showing smooth hips and nimble feet, tracked the ball well in the air and hauled it in. I'm not sure I want him in Dallas, but I doubt he will suck as bad as is being predicted either.
