It's not funny when people get hurt. And it's over my head why fans would be laughing at something like that.

Mainly cause I'm old enough to remember when Michael Irvin got hurt and the Philly fans were laughing and cheering. And we as Cowboy fans were horrified.

Just not funny.

I think it's funny. He's not injured, he got a little flesh wound. It could have been worse, but it wasn't, so whatever.

What's more funny is the people who condemn those of us who think it's funny. This is not even in the same universe as the Michael Irvin injury, and I'm sure that all of us who laugh at this wouldn't have been laughing had Eli been lying on the field, motionless.

He plays football...bumps, bruises, nicks, and cuts like this happen ALL the time. I'm surely not going to cry for him. I'm sure he's not crying about it either.

Hmm. I don't like the Giants or Eli, but I didn't exactly find that funny. I wouldn't wish that on anyone except maybe Michael Vick.

It's not "haha" funny, like a good yo momma joke.

So maybe "funny" isn't the right word.

But it is enjoyable to watch.

I'll admit, the actual cut isn't that humorous to me, except when I start thinking of calling Eli, "Scarface", and all the mental imagery that goes along with it, but the hit...The hit had me laughing hard! It was almost like the over-the-top ragdoll physics you see in video games!

Part of the thrill of watching this sport is the licks that get put on people. It's not about a "well designed and executed game plan" or anything like that. If that were the case, I could just watch Chess.

I can imagine the agony some of these people if they watch the "horrors" that go on in MMA fights...

Eli's lucky 97 let him go to go after the ball; otherwise if 97 continued to drive through him Eli would be dead.

WHY has no one said anything about the idiocy of the coaching staff in New York to have their starters playing into the second quarter of the 1st preseason game?
Eli Manning looked like Ric Flair defending the World Title inside a steel cage after that!
I texted a few of my NYG friends and asked them if they wanted me to order the new Eli Flair jersey with crimson stains on it. Got these responses, word for word...

"Ahhh here we go..."

and

"Ha ur gay, when Dallas wins a super bowl get at me. All that talent and no trophy."

Classic. I LoL'd like crazy.

I would have rather had Jacobs get hit like that, but I'll settle for Eli.

"I was a little worried last night but no headache, no concussion of any sort,” Manning told "The Michael Kay Show" on ESPN 1050 in New York. “My body, my mind, my head all feels really good. All day I've been getting tests done and just making sure there is no further damage to my brain or to my skull and everything looks fine. That's all good news."

Explains alot. I feel kinda bad about making fun of his drunk pic now.

What a ****ing great way to start the season.... LOL

If Eli didn't have all of the cobwebs shaken out, that one hit certified him ready for the regular season.
