I still get teary eyed watching this. The excitement in the building for those 5 minutes was amazing to see. Deion and Irvin looked elated. The Giants fans in the audience were pissed.

Thank goodness we chose him.

We had every reason not to select him but we still did it.

I jumped out of my seat for that trade and Morris. Both were epic tradeups

I was literally jumping up and down on my couch when we made that pick. I can't remember a selection I was more excited about.

well, there was one for a short, slow running back out of florida that i was pleasantly surprised to see.

Who, Tashard Choice? :laugh2:

I didn't follow the draft closely back then. :)

No reason to not take Rambo this year, he could be a Dez Bryant at safety.

Rambo: Drug issues
Dez: Mental issues

Mental issues is not too bad, still a red flag. Will have to grow up out of the mental issues, assuming its not a psychological condition.

Drug issues is a huge red flag. Give that person millions of dollars and odds are he will find a way at some point to buy more drugs.

Being apart of the younger generation of Cowboy fans, this was the most exciting first round selection that I can remember watching on draft night, and he's fulfilling every inch of the hype. Off the top of my head I cant even think of who is a distant second, maybe Roy Williams..he had a nice run out of college playing back there with Woodson.

Dez has mental issues? Dez was suspended because he lied about something he didn't need to lie about. That does not qualify as "mental issues".

Not even remotely close. Dez is one of the most talented receivers to come out of college in many many years. Rambo is not that at safety. When will people realize that Rambo is not a first round talent?

All kids have mental issues. Its the precursor to maturity. :p However, if those issues are due to a medical issue it is different. I simply meant Dez had the mental issue of still being a big kid that does dumb things.

Unbelievable he slipped to 24, sky is the limit with Dez he was born to catch footballs and make plays. For all the hell we give Jerry, gotta take your hat off - kid looks like he's set to be a dominant force in this league for many years to come.

Side note, thank you Josh McDaniels for taking Demarius Thomas, who isn't a bad receiver - I just think Dez has an elite skill set that can't be coached or taught.

Dez is truly a playmaker, that 88 fits.

I don't know how anyone can be a Cowboys fan and not love this kid.

This is #1 in book. Heck this might be my favorite moment from the last 5 years period.

I'm ready for Dez to take the next step and become the emotional leader of this team.
