Strange video. Some of those plays had nothing to do with Adams, and one of them was a pass completion.

ya, but on a couple of them spicer dominated Flo. plus two penalties. hopefully flo gets his legs back under him.

Gee, thanks.

Like I said, some of those plays had nothing to do with Adams. (The left tackle). (No. 76).

I didn't say he had a good game. He played a lot like Torrin Tucker, but without the blocking help. I'm just saying that some of those plays don't show anything negative about Adams, and some are only marginally negative. One of them (the last one) is even a good play by Adams.

All of the plays have something to do with Adams.

He is either committing a penalty, giving up a sack, missing a block, or just taking the play off.

On the quick slant to Witten, Bledsoe gets rid of the ball before there's any pressure. The guy Adams is supposed to block hasn't even gotten to him yet. There's nothing negative about Adams on that play.

On the final play of the video, Adams shoves his guy out of the play -- 5 yards past Bledsoe -- and Bledsoe throws an interception. That was a good play by Adams.

There were one or two others like that, but I don't have time right now to let the Youtube video download again so I can watch it again, and I've already made my point.

Give the guy a break. It is his first game back after major surgery. He will get better as the season goes on. Bank on it.

OMG, that was absolutely pathetic. spicer beat him and it looked like the same play every time, he just runs right past him, no inside move first or bullrush, he just runs right past him again and again.

And one play Flo held him the entire time and the dude still took down bledsoe. how can he let him get the same leverage again and again. he was hardly even slowed at all by Flo. that was just awful.

Adams has always been an inconsistent performer...but that said, he's not as bad as these clips make him look.

Hopefully, it's rust...

Then again, I was never a person who felt that last season fell apart because Flozell Adams went down...he's good but he's not an elite tackle.

the last play that was an INT had nothing to do with flo, you are right. but in almost every play spicer was getting the best of flo even if bledose got the pass off in time, it still was obvious that spicer owned him.

maybe he just was not in game day shape. either he just had no idea what he was doing out there or he was so winded he didnt have the strength/stamina to push spicer to the outside. most of the times he got beat it looked like he took such a bad angle that he didnt have any leverage.

it wouldnt be so upsetting if we saw him get overpowered and thrown down. its upsetting because it looked like he just kept making the same mistake, letting spicer get up under him to cut the distance to the qb on the outside rush.

Huh? Was that someone else wearing his number? Or was the video altered to show something that didn't happen? How can you say he's not as bad as these clips make him look?

Granted, the video doesn't show many good plays, but it shows how bad he looks on certain plays (and the camera doesn't lie).

holy crap people...the guys 340-350 lbs and is coming off torn knee ligaments, and injury he suffered during last season...he got very little time in TC and preseason because of a calf injury...he gave up one sack and a couple of pressures and people are diving off the freaking cliff

Adams will be fine, he just needs more work...I suspect he'll be closer to 100% by the end of October

Even the holding call on Flozell wasn't all that bad. He technically did hold Spicer for about a millisecond, but let go. There were plenty of more severe holds in that game by both teams that weren't called.

I've charted the game, Flozell wasn't as bad as some people say. And he clearly wasn't "holding on every play." Problem was that he'd play well for a stretch, then make a couple of bad plays that really killed some drives. I don't think he was anywhere near as poor as Torrin Tucker was last year.

OY.

Have you ever had a bad day in your life?

How 'bout we video tape it and say that's YOU...not that it's a bad day for you...but that's YOU.

My point was pretty obvious. He's not an elite tackle. In fact, I think he's only a bit better than an average tackle.

But he's typical peformance is not as bad as that game.

Is that more clear for you?

Sounds like the back and forth on the QB issue except we're missing the "play McQuistan now" threads.
