This guy is a trip! Who the hell wears shades to train? He's really one of those self-absorbed human beings and his Charger teammates thought he was a joke from what I read.
I saw this guy abuse Larry Allen and Flo in a game in 2006.
Then I saw him get abused by Flo in a preseason game last year. Which Igor do we get?
But like Wade said, he is one of the strongest guys in the league and that really should help out our run D if he comes to play.
Sandiego had Jamal Williams since 1998 but he really started hitting his stride from 2002 onwards. In 2002, the Chargers ranked 11th against the run and 25th against the run in 2003.
Olshansky was drafted in 2004 and started immediately. That year, the chargers moved all the way up to ranking 3rd against the run. By 2005 they were number one in the NFL in stopping the run and finished a not too shabby 7th in the league in 2006.
Obviously most of that is Jamal Williams but the point is that this guy's a tremendous run stopper if he brings it. 2008 is the only season were there were rumblings of him not bringing it but even that is a downer to me.
With him and Junior Siavii (who should also be one of the strongest guys in the league) manning our middle, along with Rat, I believe we should be top 4 in run D. Add the extra yards to 2nd and 3rd and longs and I believe we also repeat as sack leaders. I'm looking forward to this year, esp on D.
