I think 12-4 looks doable right now.

But I just want to get to 7-2 first.

Is there a bigger "kiss of death" in all of sports? On the other hand, with 12-4 practically guaranteed, I can skip the games and get an early jump on my Xmas shopping.

None. Dallas is doomed.

Oh man, 2 threads in one day with JJT on tv. I don't think I can contain myself.

Hilarious stuff . LOL.. Course, the best was the lady stating how the NFCE is was "supposed to be tough" and that is not the fault of the Cowboys. blah blah blah. Skip comes in with , " I thought just last week the egals were all that" and such. JJT comes in with " well, that was a hard fought game, either team could of won. ". crap..

OH JUST SAY IT!!!!

DALLAS WAS THE BETTER TEAM THAT NIGHT. THE EGALS ARE STILL GOOD AS WELL AND THE NFCE IS STILL IN THE HUNT.

Is it really that hard? Good lord.

It's easy to pick apart what you think is stupid. I actually think it's a decent show. Dana was just playing devils advocate. If you look at it she isn't all that off. NYFG have a lot of injuries and aren't the same team and the Commanders are horrible. Dallas and Philly are both good teams yes, but with all the injuries who knows about the Giants.

Do you have any idea how hard it is for me to say Skip was right and I was wrong?

I just threw up in my mouth.

Can someone throw Skip Bayless off our bandwagon? He's just going to steer this thing off a cliff.

Two journalists just talked for 6:21 about nothing but Dallas and agreed they would go 12-4. Why do I feel sick?

I feel for you. First its losing in our new stadium which also had first points scored by Giants kicker, now Skippy. What's next - I know - that soccer ball tattoo you have always dreamed of..........

I get the feeling that if Philly had won, they wouldn't be questioning the toughness of the NFC East.

Wilbon pulled the same thing.

Wilbon Index: The NFL

There's quite a bit of movement this week in the WWW football index.

As much as I thought the Dallas Cowboys were vastly overrated when the season began, and even five games in, the fact is they've won four straight. Tony Romo has been close to flawless in that time, and the Cowboys are at the very least the best team in the very overrated NFC East.

But the two undefeated teams still top the chart, with the Saints getting the nod over the Colts because New Orleans, indisputably, has more quality victories. Although that could change with the Colts facing the Patriots this week.

1) Saints

2) Colts: Might overtake New Orleans with a victory over the Patriots. Comes as a surprise to many that Indy has beaten New England in four of the teams' past five meetings.

3) Steelers: Five straight victories puts Pittsburgh back in the conversation for "Best Team in the NFL." Most folks would list the top QBs in the league this year as Brees/Manning/Favre/Brady, in some order. Give me Ben Roethlisberger and I'll take on anybody. Steelers didn't need to get out of the gate fast, only to find their stride.

4) Vikings: One loss, at Pittsburgh. Definitely second best team in NFC.

5) Broncos: What's the best thing possible for a team that has lost two straight? Why, a date with the Washington Commanders, of course.

6) Patriots: A win in Indy will cause a bandwagon sellout.

7) Bengals: Never thought it possible that the Bengals would be a top-10 team this late. Cedric Benson, of the non-QBs, is the league's MVP.

8) Cowboys: Seems to be a big gap between Cowboys and Vikes in the NFC. A victory against a desperate Packers team in Green Bay could change that perception.

9) Falcons

10) Chargers: Let's see if San Diego can build any kind of momentum after the big road win at New York.

Ummm, divisional game against the Giants at NY will be the biggest game in franchise history??? I thought JJT covered the Cowboys. We've been in 7 super bowls, and a regular season game is going to be the biggest game in franchise history? Maybe for this year (unless we win, then it won't really be important), but not in the history of the team. And for the divisional games "not being tough", hey, the two games we've played against divisional opponents have been decided by total of 6 points. It's so nice to blow out a team by four points.

Seems like the NFC East teams are always knocking each other down a peg since they all beat on each other while other division's best teams don't face too much resistance in their divisions.

That affects the perception of the division's toughness, when it should be measured by how they've played against the other NFC teams.

The only team in the conference that can absolutely claim to be better than the East's big three is New Orleans, with victories over Philly and New York. Give West leader Arizona some credit, too, for topping New York, but that's it.

How many other teams in the other NFC divisions has the East's big three lost to? None.
