When the Cowboys spent a 6th round pick on TE John Phillips last season most of fans were scratching out heads. With Jason Witten and Martellus Bennett you would have thought the Cowboys were all set at the TE position.
But I think we can all agree now that the Cowboys made a very smart move in brining in Phillips. He makes plays and he's already proven that he will work as hard as he can to get even better in the future.
His versatility to play FB, HBack and TE are unmatched on this team. He took time away from both Deon Anderson and Martellus Bennett during the 2009 season and I expect that trend to continue in 2010.

I would not be shocked at all if he's the starting FB or if he winds up becoming the #2 TE in the very near future.
