Marty B loves the fans!

By dcfanatic, July 8, 2009 11:11 pm

We all know by now that Martellus Bennett is on Twitter all day. Plus he has a Youtube channel and a blog.

He tells us he does it for the fans and I think I believe him 100%. We all want to interact on a personal level with the guys we see making those great plays on Sundays while playing for our beloved Dallas Cowboys.

Well now he’s taking his ‘new media game’ to the next level by opening up a Ustream.Tv account, read here.

He says he’s going to do a show every night, but that’s not feasible and I would hope he could do them every now and again.

Tonight was the ‘pilot’ episode and I got a chance to jump over there and get Marty B a little riled up by calling him a geek in the chat section because he Bowls. The chat section allows the fans to interact with him while he’s live on cam which is very cool.

Here’s a 2 minute clip from tonight (the part where he gets riled up is in there)…

And yes that was me telling him to ‘calm down geek’ as well which got another laugh out of the big TE.

You can check out the ‘podcast’ of the entire show by visiting his page.

I am pretty sure he will be on tomorrow night to talk about his appearance on First Take (he’s going to be on Thursday morning and yes I will be recording).

So tune in tomorrow night. What time? I am sure he will Tweet us when he’s coming on so I will tweet and post the start time ASAP.

I had a dislike for Tellus early on during the Hard Knocks show. The whole body language thing. But from watching him play last year it indeed appears that he took a lot of those things to heart and he really made some good plays for us.

My whole thing with him is his maturity level. I'm completely cool with a player having an ego and enjoying the limelight. I mean really, which one of us here wouldn't like to be in his shoes?

My real worry is that he doesn't go the way of some other players in the NFL (Which I won't mention) who make it all about me, me, me and forget about their team and their teammates.

As long as he's having fun, and the rest of the team is having fun, they'll play loose and win.
