Over the past few seasons Mike Mayock has quickly become one of my favorite football guys. I was hoping he would spike the football off of Sapps fat head.

Did I just hear the analysts say this is Tony Romo's team and he's the one who has to take it to the next level? The same Tony Romo some of these guys put threads up wanting him to be a bus driver?

Sapp is annoying to even listen to much less think he has a clue as to what he is even saying.

I saw that live. Really disappointed they spent so much time on the WR situation.

I almost wonder if this wasn't one of those staged arguments that TV loves so much now. Last night I happened to catch these guys talking about the Bills, and Sapp was railing TO pretty hard.

Felix Jones has the absolute talent to play the Marshall Faulk role in the offense. I predict that you will see him in that role. Dallas is going to get him the rock.

Second, Martellus Bennett is a monster, and he is going to get the football.

Third, Sapp acts like "the player" was "all that" last year, and he wasn't even close to "all that". He must be thinking about the 2007 version.

Fourth, the biased against Tony Romo is obvious by certain people in that clip. It wouldn't be the first time, and it will not be the last.

Tony Romo is absolutely a franchise quarterback. Who are the 6 or 7 that are better players?

Perhaps, they want the Cowboys to play with Chad Hutchinson or Quincy Carter or past their prime vets like Testeverde or Bledsoe.

I totally agree on the Felix Jones Marshall Faulk comparisons but Marshall was the centerpiece to that Rams offense and touch the ball through catching and running 30 plays a game. Felix Jones will never see the ball 30 times a game on this team. But the ability to make plays catching and running like Marshall and that genuine explosiveness is there in Felix.

sapp isnt cool why?

cause he didnt give yall the homer response yalll wanted to hear?

if he had said cutting owens made us better team no one would be bashing him.

but because he said the obvious on how losing a player of owens caliber can affect how defenses play us especially since were reallying on unproven guys. somehow hes a fool for saying so:confused:

ok that makes a lot of sense. what was he thinking. its a fact, and written in stone that all are unproven wr are gonna break out this yr.

im hoping for our sake roy finally plays to his potential and miles breaks out to but im not foolishly going to act like a homer and thinks thats a given when i know it can easily go the other way

What Sapp said was correct, in terms of defenses not having to be concerned about a WR like Owens and now they can stack the line against the run and single cover the other WRs.

But he is still an idiot.

If he thinks that a LB can cover Witten, he is crazy. If he thinks that all we will do is try to run the ball with our RBs, he is crazy. Having Felix healthy again gives us a real weapon in the passing game out of the backfield.

He also doesn't give Roy Williams any credit whatsoever, and that is not right. We will have to see about Miles Austin and Sam Hurd but I believe Austin can be a very good WR and if they single-cover both he and Williams then Romo will have a field day.

The bottom line is that we won't be as explosive as we were in 2007, but we will be a solid football team on offense and won't miss Terrell Owens a bit.

Did you forget to flip up those rose colored glasses on your nose, Romo was the third best QB in the NFC east last year do we really need to list the others who outplayed him. Yikes he is what he is, lets just make use of the talent he has and plan this season accordingly.

Bennett cannot be ordained at this point in his career, and Felix needs to finish one season until we can state he is the real deal. Things are headed in the right direction but this is not a sprint as much as it is a marathon lets reload in the draft and hope the other guys miss on some picks. Eagles and Giants pick three times before our second pick.

I have never liked him. This isn't just because of what he says in here.

And I think most of the people saying they don't like him will say the same thing.

I think most people who don't like Sapp are the ones like me who wouldn't care what he says even if we agree with it and we still wouldn't like him.

He can say what ever he wants. I can't stand the dude. Completely annoying.

I agree that Sapp is pretty annoying at times but most of the people who think what he said here makes him an idiot are just upset that he didn't agree with their side that having TO gone is a good thing.

It's the way it goes. If he'd said "Getting rid of TO was a great thing" then most of those same people would be in here saying, "See even an idiot like Sapp knows this is a great move."

They'd applaud him agreeing, while still pissing on him to keep up their cred for hating the guy. It's all business as usual when it comes to media members.

I do agree with DC though that Mayock is one of my favorites as well. The dude just seems to really know his stuff and I enjoy listening to him.
