I'd like to check it out too, I didn't notice when I was watching the war room but I doubt it's available anywhere since it was a live stream.

Here's what gets me ..

Find out that Stephen had worked out the parameters of the trade with the 49ers yesterday MORNING. ... that is if the player the 49ers wanted was there then would the Cowboys accept 31 and 47 picks? Apparently both parties had that deal in their pocket if the right conditions came up and had agreed to the picks (not sure which side proposed it though) ...

My problem: So there should have been no last-minute hand-wringing, raised voices when it came around to pick 18 in the war room.

Look they could have taken 10 minutes before the draft began last night to discuss the above scenario. Namely: We've got an offer to trade down: which guys still left on the board would cause us to nix this 49ers trade, that is?

Instead in the stinking first round (!) there was apparently a big disagreement that should have been, in principle agreed to weeks ago, if not at least yesterday afternoon. It wasn't a last-minute decision, or didn't have to be.

I read/heard somewhere last night that part of the confusion was that Dallas thought that they had a better offer from another team but that that deal feel through late so if they were going to trade down it was the 49ers deal or nothing.

I also heard on the lunch break that the Niners lied about who they were after with the 18th pick. Not sure how much that matters, except I think they liked Reid themselves. If Dallas knew Reid was the Niners pick, Dallas could have pushed harder for a better deal... With a realistic threat that They (Dallas) would just pick Reid themselves.

If the Niners instead said that they were after Patterson, the Cowboys couldn't really threaten to take that WR at 18.

Does a lie impact future negotiations between the 9ers and the Cowboys?

I have been asking around if anyone had a vid of the war room last night so I could actually see what all the fuss is about. I should have recorded it.

Well, I will tonight that is for sure!
