I was hoping he could give us another 13- to 14-game year, but it seems his body is just saying it's time to quit. The last two injuries had nothing to do with the back problems he's had for years.

There is a discrepancy in the reporting. How did we go to him walking out of practice without a limp to he will be out months due to a severe hamstring injury? A severe hamstring injury would cause a noticeable limp.

Also, when you injure a hamstring you know it. It does not require an MRI to know you injured your hamstring. Maybe the MRI will detail the severity, but as the injury occurred Tyron would know it was his hammy.

And just a reminder, Gerald McCoy severely injured his quadricep in preseason and was out for the year in 2020.

That Tyron injury reminds me a little of Romo’s last back injury where he was barely hit but it turned into the end of his career. When someone is getting hurt regularly without much contact, it’s sad and unlucky, but more than that it’s a sign of someone’s ability to stay healthy and play in this league coming to an end.

I can envision Tyler Smith being thrown to the wolves. I'd take him over Ball or Steele tbh, but would prefer a plan B of a decent FA.

He's been a great player but his body is failing him. As us old guys know, that's only going to happen more often.

True. You'd think the Cowboys would have that figured out by now, but here we are again; another year, more question marks, and the Cowboys still don't have a good plan for his replacement if and when needed.
