It's tough putting over at Pebble because the poa anna grass on the greens is pretty slow and bumpy. I'm guessing Tony probably plays pristine rye grass greens in the Dallas area which is much easier to putt.
And Pebble's greens have a lot of slope to them, which really doesn't show up when you're watching on TV. Romo's swing looks okay, not a fan of his very flat shoulder turn on the backswing. I've played in tournaments like that where all of the sudden you have to play on much shorter tees than you're used to and it can throw you off a bit. Usually I come away okay shooting no worse than +2 or +3 over par, but it's disappointing when you should post at least 68 out there and you don't.
Pebble is the real deal though. You'll see some parts of nature you never thought existed before. Somewhat of a funny story, a childhood friend of mine I hadn't heard from after we graduated high school. A few years after high school he had got arrested for stealing some flagsticks and tee markers off of Pebble Beach.
