Tony Romo didn't play in the qualifying tournament today for the Byron Nelson Championship because the tee time conflicted with the OTA's.

So it's clear Romo isn't ever going to pick golf over football yet we get guys like Skip Bayless saying this...

When Romo starts missing practices or meetings or OTA's or anything of importance I will think Romo is being an idiot and should stop with the golf game.

Until then he can play as much golf as he wants on his own time.

I was shocked to hear the other two support the golfing 100%. I wonder if EPSN bothered to tell them Tony wasn't going to compete today or if they just let them debate something that wasn't even happening to pump up ratings.

Skip is maintaining that Peyton Manning played catch 2 hours every day with his WRs in any season of his career?

Uh, I am calling bull. No QB has ever done that during an off season or his free time.

:laugh2:And they even told him Peyton never did that and he still didn't want to listen.

Tony Romo is held to an impossible standard.

i dont know if peyton manning did that or not, but to me you cant call it bull till you find out if peyton did or did not, those 2 hours every day during offseason conditioning, practices, etc...

Right now, its just speculation, and skippy whom i dont really like, says peyton did, then you cant say its bull till you prove otherwise with info proving such.

all i know is that when staubach and aikman were practicing during offseason stuff, they demanded perfection, worked hard and spent extra time after practice working with the offensive players that receive the ball.

Thats how i feel that you should do it, spend time the coaches have scheduled, then an hour or so after practices working on little nueances of the practices with stuff you saw needed working on.

to become elite you have to sacrifice, study and work hard.

herb adderly showed the cowboys this in early 70s, jackie smith TE showed the cowboys this midseason in 78, where the players were playing off of their super bowl in 77, but not practicing hard or studying.

spending that extra time to be the best.

again, its called sacrifice!

It has been reported countless times that Romo puts in every bit the amount of time Peyton does.

I can't believe anyone even pays attention to him. He just says stuff like this to get attention. Ignore him and he'll go away.

crap on a wicker stick but seems to be your MO.

say it, it suddenly becomes true and for the OTHER person to disprove.

what if i make up stats about you - are they true now?

more or less what you're doing and shifting the burden of proof onto the "fact" vs. taking it as what it is.

crap on a wicker stick.

I like what Burgess Meredith said in GOM (something like this): "You can crap in one hand and wish in the other and see which one gets filled first."

Do they have OTA for hack writers? because I have a feeling Skip has missed a few OTA of his own. :lmao:

Skippy resents that comment.

I am calling it bull. No QB has ever done that. Not Peyton Manning nor any other QB.

Bull. Bull. Bull. Bull.

2 hours throwing a football? Daily?

Do you really want to stick with that? Let me clue you in to something that ought to be really obvious. 2 hours every day = arm problems.

Bull or no bull? If you still maintain that isn't bull then you just flat out do not know what the hell you are talking about.
