Lol @ no comments by DC in this video.

The analysts (like the respected Michael Irvin) must not have shared his Wade opinions

Thank you Wade Phillips.

For those who haven't surrendered the insane notion that Phillips would accept a demotion from head coach to defensive coordinator for the Cowboys, here are his own words;

As stated in the first video (5:35 mark): "You know really I can get... I feel like I can get a job. It may not be another head coaching job and certainly it won't be the best coaching job in the league which I have now. But... uh... you know, I have confidence enough in myself that I'm a good coach and I can do some good things. I have had one losing season in the last twelve years."

Granted, he doesn't say, "If Jerry asks me to become the defensive coordinator, I'll take the job or I would consider the job", but no one has to read between the lines to understand that he's out of here if he gets the hook. That's the way it works in the real world.

What was there to comment on. The guy said he doesn't think about anything. It was a waste of time to even interview him.

Wade loses today and in the first playoff game he's gone.

There isn't much more to talk about with Wade in general.

Jerry would never even ask him to do that.

Whenever people suggested this scenario it was just silliness.

I think he would consider it if the new HC was a respected coach with some history behind him.

If it was just a title switch with Redball, I don't think he would accept it.

I was hoping to hear Wade's hot sports opinions on buttermilk, but unfortunately he never got around to it.

I really don't understand how people could actually think that about Wade. Some of the craziest logic I've seen applied to Wade.

I really like Wade. I think he is doing a very good job w/ the team right now. They are playing some real good football.

I just don't understand all of the nancy's hating on him so much and wanting to replace him w/ some new coach who will start this all over again.

It's like they have all of the answers and nobody and I mean NOBODY can changed that no matter how well the team is playing.

Talk about ultimate facepalms.

Unbelievable.

Defensive coordinator here, defensive coordinator somewhere else, whats the difference?

If he wasn't going to a HC gig, I'm sure he's rather indifferent to where he calls plays. Might as well go with less work and likely more pay.

I never understand this theory of starting all over again.

Did Wade have to start all over again? No.

He was handed a playoff team.

The car was at the starting line waiting for someone to drive it.

So far he's gotten on the track and gone real fast.

But we still hasn't even completed a lap yet.

And it's been three years.

OK....let's say we get another coach....will THAT GUY be able to over-rule JG? I don't think that Wade has that authority at this time, IMO.

So, we get another coach....what is he? He's just another glorified DC....just like Wade.

Unless the next HC is allowed to bring in his own staff, we are at the same point we are in today....no true HC....just a DC and an OC....the new HC would just be the mouthpiece for the team.

Just not convinced that a new HC would be the answer anymore....

Unless we get an HC that brings fire and a "take no prisoners" attitude, then we aren't really gaining much.

Do I like Wade? As a person, yes....he's just not what I have ever envisioned for a HC of the DALLAS COWBOYS. We should be able to hire the best coach wth no problem. But it's not like that anymore and I see alot of teams doing this....just a HC who is a mouthpiece not calling any plays except for maybe one side of the team...be is O or D. In our case, I don't believe that WP has ANYTHING to do with the O....not even being allowed to question the OC's decision on plays being run.

Allow the team to have a HC that will ream the OC and DC for their decisions and that would be a plus.....
