Video: Warren Sapp: 'Doug Free is the answer'

Doug Free is playing some good football, and I like his chances. I liked what I saw last night for sure. Free is looking like one of Dallas' best offensive linemen.

Alex Barron is nice depth, but Barron will not be here next year, imo.

Barron has played better in camp, but he needs to get stronger. I suspect another team will try him next year.

Free looked amazing out there on Sunday from what I saw. He was quick, athletic, almost like a DT or DE blocking.

Barron? Atrocious. BUT he was still worth it for the Carp trade if for no reason other than to free up the nickel linebacker spot for all those athletes we've got in a logjam at LB.

Yep. We were going to cut Carpenter anyway, so we may as well get an o-line prospect. If he works out then great. If not oh well.

Free looked good but it was 1 series in the pre-season.

Let's put the anointing oil away for now.

Agenda!!!!!!!!!!

I just want more evidence.

He was outstanding in that series and there is no denying that.

Since Barron has trouble handling speed rushers, which is all he will see at LT, maybe we can consider using him elsewhere on the OL but not at RT. Could he be used inside at one of the OG positions. Remember Leonard Davis was drafted as an OT but is much better inside. So maybe we tree Barron at an OG position, maybe behind Kosier.

How many weeks did he play last year? It's not like he's going to get worse this year.

Give up on this one, dude.

Free Doug Free (from the wretched grasp of agenda driving Cowboys fans).

Words cannot express how much I've come to despise this cliche.

:laugh2:

Free is going to be more than fine. He looks bigger and more powerful to me this year and I thought he was great last year.

I agree with the poster that said he may be our best lineman....we will see.

Barron is a very good backup swing tackle...that is all we need him to be.

+1.

I'll get in line to eat crow and I'll sing while chewing.

But I want to see more.

Last year I told people that the team was very high on Doug Free. I was assured that he had never done anything to deserve such faith.

I even called him an impact player on dcfanatic's radio show. Took some good natured ribbing because of that.

This off season after Flo was released, I predicted that by game 3 people will question why we waited so long to start him.

Welcome aboard folks. You're early.

It's a different position.

No, I'm not early. I'm not even on the train yet. I'm eager to be wrong.
