Roy Williams (the WR) goes silent on T.O.'s future
While appearing on ESPN's First Take Friday morning at Disney World, Cowboys receiver Roy Williams was posed a question about Terrell Owens' future in Dallas.
Apparently, the imposed gag order on the coaching staff has been extended to the players when it comes the big issue right now.
Q: What's your gut on his (Owens) future with the Cowboys?
Roy: "I don't know if I'm allowed to answer that question."
His answers sounded very coached. And this coming from a player that recently did a radio tour where he was overly candid about his issues with his role and how this team didn't work hard in practice.
Since he didn't shed any real information on the state of the Cowboys, the conversation diverted to his beloved Texas Longhorns. Williams, wearing his favorite green UT cap, says Texas QB Colt McCoy will be a top-10 NFL pick.
Williams also said he's playing plenty of bad golf 3-4 times a week in the offseason.

That was a terrible interview...but I put most of that on Jay Crawford.
He didn't seem prepared for the interview and as usual the ESPN research missed the boat about Roy doing a TO impersonation.
But that's ESPN...they hear something and then report like it's fact.
That's why Skip Bayless is so highly thought of on that network.
Any one of us on this message board could have done a thousand times better than Crawford did in that interview. Pathetic!

Cowboys cant be next years arizona cardinals because they dont have to come as far. No one expected Cardinals to do what they did, just as they dont expect the lions. Cowboys could turn this thing around and it would not be that huge a shock. All the negative attention we are getting is because it the popular thing to to because we are the cowboys.
As far as Roy and the lions, his comment about the calendar is more telling what he thinks of that organization than the lions as next years cardinals comments.
