VIDEOS: Two Training Camp Videos

I put these togther as a lead in to camp. I thought it would be a good time killer for days like today, for 3 minutes at least!!!

So the first one, well, the whole offseason has been portrayed as a drama. A teen drama storyline almost and camp is in California. So I have always loved the opening credits/titles to the teen dramedy The O.C. (Yea I know get your laughs and your jokes in, I have a bad habit of watching tv shows that are for a teenage female audience. Dont ask. I dont know either)

anyway. I love the titles on that show. They were done by a company called the Picture mill. http://www.picturemill.com/ Click on broadcast and then concept and you will see the season 3 credits of the o.c.

So what I did was mimick the season 1 opening credits of the O.C. and made it for the cowboys. I made it frame for the frame exactly the same. It is done in 1080i HD. So if you have a widescreen monitor blowit up and enjoy, if not just click full screen and watch it. I kinda love the way this looks and it is the most fun editing I have ever had.

The second video Is just a training camp teaser/trailer/lead in ...whatever. I started making it all dramatic like a trailer then stopped because of the length and changed it. I had a voice over lined up but it fell through..it works without I think though. Enjoy. This one is in 720p HD so enjoy it full screen!

I had an alternate ending. But it threw the video out of serious mode.

I have HD shots of jerry dancing, close ups of jerry and owens putting popcorn in their mouth....like tonsil closeups, dave campo dancing with the guys in the secondary and jerry pointing to the popcorn saying this is your signing bonus!!

I still might find a way to use that stuff!

Both have learning curves, but not as scary as you think and well worth it.

They stopped production on express pro. Now they sell media composer as the entry software.

My advice, do what I did. Check ebay constantly. I got an uopened version of axp for 300 bucks. that is pretty ridiculous. Now I can upgrade to media composer for 395. Pretty absurd to get composer for under 1000 bucks. I havent had any reason to upgrade yet though!

dont be afraid!!!! Remember though, the avid is very particular. You will most likely have to buy a new computer. HP workstations work flawlessly with it.

or you can go final cut pro.
