Bryant's a good kicker when healthy, but he's always getting muscle pulls in his leg.

Wow, that's wierd! Why would a kicker get muscle pulls in his leg? I mean, all they do is sit the bench!:

Question, if vikes signed Longwell, which I wanted the Cowboys too, (I am not a fan of Matt Bryant, you saw when he did in Tampa Bay). My question, with Vikes signing Longwell, how about the Vikes kicker Edinger, he did some pretty good kicks last year with Vikes. We got to get a kicker, reports were the Cowboys had Longwell coming in Sat to Dallas, I guess the Cowboys let him get away to Vikes.

If Bryant is the consolation prize, i'm gonna throw up. I have zero confidence in him hitting any kind of pressure kick.

Yes, but what about those 3 kicks he missed in a row, that could have won the game.

We won't be able to sign Bryant, cause Bucs intending to resign him. So another option is gone. And Nedney resigned with 49ers several days ago.

Is there anybody else out there besides Vinatiere that we can sign? If not, Jones better get out his checkbook. Pats offered him multi year contract which pays him $2M a year, but no signing bonus was included. Seems like Cowboys caught short again by aggressiveness of other teams (just like we were back in 04). If Cowboys first big effort was signing Kozier, we are in trouble.

ESPN.com's John Clayton and Len Pasquarelli report Minnesota Vikings PK Ryan Longwell agreed to a five-year, $10 million deal with the team. Included in the deal is a $3 million signing bonus

I wouldn't be surprised if Dallas simply didn't want to spend that much money on a kicker.

I bet when we are 9-7 losing 3-4 games due to missed FG again,, they will re think that position.

He had problems 2003-2004, but I think its a stretch to think its a continuing problem.

I think, with only the first day of free agency about to be over, it's a tad early to start giving up on the season.

There's still plenty of time left. Adam V is still available.

Well that is just grand.

Longwell went with the Vikes.

Vanderjagt and Vinatieri probably cost to much.

Bryant looks to resign with the Bucs.

Nedney went with the Whiners.

Somebody give me something here. Tell me there is another decent option. I really hope we didn't screw the pooch on this one.
